I found the ATWT reference to be cleverly done and I enjoyed it. I thought this was another great episode. I'm starting to love Jacob and Naomi as the grounded good guys. June has brought the best out of both of them and both of them have made Derek more bearable.

It's convoluted but the CBS soaps that were still on the air in the 2000s are all in the same universe because of Sheila Carter appearing on Another World as an alias named Shelly Clark who hated some unnamed characters that matched Eric and to Stephanie's description. In the 60s Mike Bauer from Guiding Light crossed over to Another World which linked their universes. Cass also appeared on Guiding Light. Now if the Sheila Carter connection is counted as just parody and not a crossover there is still a connection due to Emily Stewart appearing on Y&R looking for Alison.

Music to my ears.

Same. It stands out so much more because of how clever it was done. Without any wink, wink.

-- Maurice Johnson was fine as Ted, but Keith D. Robinson is also good in the role. They're different but both are solid actors. I'm already "over" Johnson being replaced, and I don't think this is worth a lot of discussion over....nor do I think the internet is going to discuss this for much longer.

-- I also had no problem with Ted's blazer.

-- The Derek and Jacob scenes were good. I'm getting more clues that Ashley is the problem in this story. And I'm sorry, Derek isn't the only one who should apologize for what happened.

-- In other news, Ashley is still Basic.

-- I'm still out on the Anita story. Why have Anita and Tracy bonded again? We should have heard at least something of what happened in the past to cause the break up of the group.

Instead we're told nothing so that we can wonder what "horrible" things happened to the group's 3rd member who has such an Anita problem. If this is just going to be a retelling of Diana Ross getting with Berry Gordy, becoming the star of the Supremes, and then striking out on her own, I don't want to hear it.

Besides, wasn't Miss Ross THE star of the group? Wasn't she THE money? Berry Gordy was right all along.

In addition, I'm looking side-eyed at Anita having all these regrets. She doesn't seem to be the type. She's a DUPREE!

I’m actually enjoying Anita having a storyline that doesn’t revolve around her reminding us she’s a Dupree.

Also I don’t see the issue with continuing to discuss a recast that just debuted last week and is entirely different from the previous actor.

Yes, today was a return to form as far as entertaining episodes. I didn't have a standout but enjoyed Mona, cause I didn't believe we would see this much of her for some reason.

Love the thought of Nicole and Naomi being in each other orbits more.

They have been wonderful, I agree.

The breakdown writer and script writer knew Tamara Tunie was Jessica on ATWT. What do they want for it? A cookie?

Stop! Lol! I think Teresa is becoming my favorite writer on the show.

There are still complaints about how Amelia Heinle plays Victoria Newman here and there and it's been 20 years since the recast, so a week is nothing when it comes to complaining.

That jacket was embarrassingly small. It's not the actor's fault, but wardrobe for putting it on him. A wealthy doctor would not walk around like that so production really whiffed on that one.

Love inspector Kat still doing a better job than the police.

Oh Leslie so delusional and I love every moment of it.

☺️ And Leslie looked good in that leather.

Jibre/Jacob is moving to the top of my list. Such a likeable presence.

Give Jacob/Naomi a home set!

Ted's jacket ...

Stating that Derek/Ashley have been together 2 years kinda undermines the story.

If it had been say 6 months, then problems might be arising-but after 2 years??

The ATWT reference was cute-but of course Dr Nicole only knew about the show through patients-God forbid she ever watched it herself!

Might have been cuter had she said she got hooked through patients and ended up taping it herself and watching it at home to unwind.

Now, let's be honest, if Ron Carlivati was the breakdown writer of this episode, you guys would've rolled your eyes at the ATWT reference.   LOL

I just hope it doesn’t become a constant thing.

Like with Days, it’s funny the first time, but after the 475th time, it isn’t anymore.

I just watched yesterday's episode and I liked it!  I didn't think the ATWT reference was cheesy, I really loved it. This was actually the first episode where I enjoyed June, so that's a plus haha.

Or she watched during her college days, and Jessica served as an inspiration to her!
