Not to harp on, and I don't know if it's always been there and I just noticed it today, but why the hell does Ashley have her microwave on top of the fridge? What sense does that make? Irrationally, It made her more intolerable than she already was in this episode.

Normally I agree with you @Soapsuds but not on this.

Dani opened up to Andre about her insecurities since the end of her marriage, and Andre listened and supported her. Their booty call hook ups are so turning into love.

The writers need to reign in Vanessa' character... I can see the actress is trying to reign in the character.. but the writing isn't helping her in her quest.

Dani has been going on and on and on about being insecure since the end of her marriage for 55 episodes.. and I'm sick of it.  She's in bed with a younger attractive man and she won't shut up about her insecurities.  I want to tell Andre that the sex isn't worth being tied to this emotional vampire.  No wonder Bill cheated on her (and I do sometimes side with the cheater).

I'm really hoping Derek/Ashley are breaking up soon because she's been a total witch and he can do so much better.  Have him in another scene with Hayley or even a 1:1 with Shanice.

I think that's a Danielle Paige quirk.  Her novels are all about symbolism, and she did say that Claire Labine mentored her at Guiding Light.

-- Dani and Andre look good in bed, but let's move on, OK? Just seeing those two have hot sex isn't enough. I don't think Dani's reason for not going public with him make any sense, either. More bad writing.

-- Today we got a discussion of Tomas' tattoos. You mean Kat has never seen the guy's arms before? Huh? More bad writing.

-- Also, I still can't believe Alex Alegria (Tomas) has been acting for well over a decade. Jesus.

-- Why would Ted give Eva a photo of herself for her birthday? WTF was that?

-- Dana and Jacob were decent. Those were the only scenes that made sense.

Last week was great, but we're off to a really slow start this week.

I agree with all of this except I loved Leslie with Jacob. It was the old Leslie to me. She was so soft in her scenes with NuTed on Friday, I preferred the return to form.

The roles of Martin and Kat will now be played by Andre and Eva

I got to agree. The show was a mess. 

The stories that are not working were the ones featured in today's episode. That was a red flag indicating how bad the episode was going to be.

Some would say the header might have been a sign it could be a bad episode. 😜 

 

I don't think I was as bored as everyone else with this episode, but I'll see how I feel after a rewatch.

 

Heck, the actor playing Tomas even showed up and seem more comfortable. Actually so did the actor playing Derek.

Yowzers! I'm only on episode 17 right now - LOL - you paint a dreadful picture of this show. Just popped into this thread page and I gotta wonder... is all of it bad or just certain storylines?
