Peace has no say in story direction regardless - she was just a day to day breakdown writer. Unless she had the stature of Mulcahey himself (in previous roles) or what Michelle Val Jean once had (which she doesn’t), this will have no impact on the overall show or the characters featured (unless PM/EK or Valentini/ABC have plans we’re not yet familiar with).

We don't know that it will have no impact. Theoretically, for example, if a weak writer was replaced by a stronger writer, then, yes, the new writer would write better breakdowns. But, it is certainly true that neither breakdown nor script writers or a story editor, any of them, at all have impact on story. This is really hard to say! Only the HWs decide what stories to tell & which characters are featured, etc. but everyone knows this, I think.

her last breakdown is, I believe, tomorrow.

She said on her ig stories that her last airs in April

Thanks. My mistake. I saw Wed., Mar. 27th but it's the first of 3 final breakdowns, not the last one.

I meant in terms of story direction, which was clearly stated in my post. Also, on average, most breakdown writers write like one breakdown a week - so again, not a huge impact to the overall show.

I completely understood what you meant. The impact of change of one cog in the machine - or one member of the committee - is only that much, no more. But it can be true that a team is improved by change. It's not necessarily neutral nor is it always a bad thing. I think we're on the same page.

No one knows what page you're on, Donna.

I think the optics are pretty terrible to fire their only black breakdown writer, even if she has no say in story direction. We'll see I suppose. I'm sure this means Mulcahey is bringing on writers with a similar sensibility to his, I just hope they have some melanin. Blah, blah, blah race shouldn't matter but guess what? It does. You don't see the world through the same lens I do and that should be a factor in the writers room.

I have to say I think yesterday was the weakest of the Mulcahey/Korte's new batch of episodes. Liz's "I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry" to Jake was just weird, why are you apologizing? Thankfully he also apologized.

BTW Liz has raised 3 lovely kids, it's nice to see. No asshöles. Yet! They're still young. My money's on Jake.

Hey, Jason finally found out about Britt’s death!

It’s a shame that the storyline was changed mid-way through; Jason/Britt were good together. And it’s an even bigger shame that that disgusting whore Joss never paid for her part in Britt’s death.

I’m glad that the new team remembered Pikeman though. That storyline was ended way too quickly and abruptly.

Also, can they finally get Curtis out of that friggin chair?

His scenes with Laura today were boring.

Carly pimping Jason to Jagger was gag worthy.

Doggy Daddy is Gregory son? Lord....

I agree. The optics are AWFUL.

It matters, PERIOD.

Thank you for saying this. It definitely matters.

Jason finding out about Britt today was great. I didn’t see any of their relationship but Steve Burton totally conveyed the immediate shock and deep sadness he felt similarly to when he found out about Bobbie.

Ah, your Doggy Daddy is my "Get that man a real haircut & dye job!"

Yes, brothers. And, Doggy Daddy is the father of Demon Child, Violet.

Who is Violet’s mother? I’m trying to remember if Finn had popped up yet when I stopped watching. I remember Silas getting murdered but I’m unclear of how long the break was between Easton coming back as Finn.
