So Trey and Fen are going to Noah's new place. Too bad all of it is happening off screen. Pfft

Back to not watching YR again unless Susan Walters, ED or Beth Maitland are on.

So on a side note...Lauren mentioned Paul is still in Genoa City yet didn't bother showing up for Lauren's big day. Yeah terrible!!

I would have liked to have seen her first scene, the bitchy look that she gave Traci that made Bell turn her into a mean girl, and her wedding to Paul (there's only an extremely short clip in the German episodes), but all in all I thought they did a pretty good job picking clips. I was glad they didn't include Sheila's 2005 stint or too much recent stuff. I was also surprised they didn't show Brad.

I wonder if the scenes with Joanna were her Emmy sumbission when she won.

Yeah exactly. Being the son of Nikki and with her temperament to boot, Nick could carry a triangle WITHOUT a WTD storyline attached to it. And it was going well because I kinda saw sparks between CH and JM, but I figured they would keep her with Adam who have their own chemistry and they were starting to give them drama rather than Sally being a henchwoman to Adam with no personality. It was an evenly matched triangle.

And say what you will about JM, but he gives a great 'I think I'm hip, but we the audience don't think so' father vibe. And who is to say this show which does not have that, doesn't need something familiar?

But no to Nick having ANOTHER kid.

Danny was heading to the airport and Chris drove him. But not before they talked at Crimson Lights and there was plenty of good flashbacks. They had a nice vibe of 'woulda, coulda, shoulda', but still caring about each other.

Paul was still alive and out of town I think.

Great minds...I thought the same thing in the Spoilers thread due to his DAYS connection.

And a bad boy.

I admit I am surprised by Danny. Before I thought it was mentioned he would be back at some point this year so I figured for today.

I believe everyone upthread mentioned Paul was in town. I'm waiting for the episode to load here so will watch later.

    • Coming into June...   It just occurred to me that seeing Carter/Hope engaged that there was something missing. Oh, yeah! DAPHNE. I missed a few episodes, but she left, right? So is Ridge going to be the spoiler for Carter/Hope now? I felt that Daphne/Carter/Hope had more legs to it. But I guess we will see.   I did enjoy that show circling back around to Luna/Will/Electra. Katie was spitting nothing, but truth. Same for Sheila. And it's good to see Luna vs Electra, and they gave off more adversary chemistry this time around versus when they were at Deacon's.    I was happy to see Liam reduced to C plot.
    • To bring over from the May Sweeps Thread from @Chris B   I know the fashions have gotten mixed reviews but I actually like what the new costume designer is putting the cast in. It feels more modern and the more tacky pieces I feel make sense for rich people. They're buying for the brand and the price and we often see celebs in things like this. Especially for a character like Nikki, I feel the more over the top (and tacky), the more realistic it is.   I agree. While it has been hit and miss no question, I have found it fascinating to watch what the costume designer is attempting to do with the various characters and their clothes. Some have been overdue. Some have been fascinating. But (outside of Billy) not boring to watch. I definitely find it more modern as well.   My growing issue has been it's not good that the best reason to watch Y&R as of late has been to see what people are wearing rather than the writing. It feels like a red flag.
    • Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss.    I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
    • And that charity does still get mentioned from time to time. I want to say the last time was some time this year, too.
    • Oh, no. Vernon has definitely had his moments.   Choose silence anyone?
    • Search YT for Edwyn Sanchez, he posted an AI enhanced episode of ATWT and it is beautiful.
    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
