I agree.  My interpretation is that they objectified Alex to fulfill their needs in a way that neither Tripp nor Johnny would be willing to do.  They don't want a throuple with Alex (who would? he doesn't bring a lot beyond his physique to the equation), they just wanted some exploration.

Yeah, for Chanel/Allie it was a solid decision and Alex was exactly what they were looking for.  For fallout I would have preferred someone messier like Tripp.  That could have opened up even more story for Allie/Chanel.  Unless one of them falls for Alex (which.....eww_) the threesome isn't living up to its full story potential.  But that's Days for you.

How revolutionary would it be for a soap character just to have a hook up with no repercussions?
