Maybe those two should hook up!

   Imagine the after conversation--

Billy "Was I good enough?"

Noah  "Well, my sister-in-law was in my head the whole time"

Billy    "But did I meet the requirements, or was I just 'there' " "Sometimes I don't know if I am how people expect me to be"

Audience falls asleep.  Business as usual

5-17

I was not expecting to enjoy that wedding as much as I did. I just felt that there were so many character beats that there was no need for drama. It was just fascinating to watch. I was actually annoyed that Diane crashed.

So...nuSummer? So far, I like her. I felt she was using a lot of HK's mannerisms, but was making it her own. And she definitely looks like MS's daughter. I expect good things.

Speaking of Diane, those camera angles when she walked in and the look she had on her face thinking no one saw her...only to see one single saw her: Phyllis. And if looks could kill..hmmmm.

I don't know when it happened, but I guess I am liking nuNoah. Or I saw a hint of what people have mentioned about the actor having more personality on social media.

Still not feeling nuChance, but was that a spark between him and Sharon?

And I liked finally seeing Moses.

I don’t even know why this show even bothers with business stories anymore as they have stopped making an sense. It would be one thing if it was something like someone had a new marketing idea for Jabot or Fenmore’s but the dialogue is horrible.

If they want a business story that will play out like a soap opera, Y&R ought to have one of those companies be a social media platform instead of a podcast. Every day there are new twists and turns in this Twitter saga that reads like a kind of tech media soap opera.

As I said in the spoiler forum, at least a chunk of GC’s citizens of interest (ie Sharon, Moses, Faith, Allie, Sally, Billy and Lily) should been in Crimson Lights to be witness the the bitch-slapping going on between the two with the gossip spreading like wildfire.

At least it was fun to see Nikki and Diane go at it. The Diane and Traci scenes were very pleasing as well. Susan Walters continues to do an excellent job of a haunted yet now slightly optimistic woman.

New Summer is doing well IMO. So much more spark with energy and actually has a bit of a believable edge to her. Only downside is she’s been given some atrocious dialogue lately.

Actually as a whole the dialogue has been really strange lately, you would think some 90-year old is writing some of this thinking they’re witty and smart LMAO.

    • Hahaha!!! Not Naomi being sure Chelesa ain't filming this time!!!   At last! Kat is proven right!!!   And hey, Nicole's Doctor friend, hey!!!   So far...this is giving.
    • Leslie having the nerve to show up at the Dupree House was pure insanity. Bill being revealed to be more ruthless than anyone would have thought was a good development. I have to imagine that will change Dani's view of wanting him back. The whole reveal was well done and Trisha Mann-Grant owned those scenes. That was most definitely material for an Emmy submission reel.
    • I agree, all the Guys Tux were nice. I like how they differ from each other and all stylish in a way. Awe, same. Can not believe I actually have enjoying a current daytime soap. Rewatching these episodes over the weekend as a jump back into Ryan's Hope and Santa Barbara. Agreed! Exciting times.

And it was pretty dope we didn't know that tidbit before the reveal.
    • yes I thought of the Renee party... But this is different because I'm talking specifically about the revealer convincing someone else to throw the party.  And the someone else complies, having no idea what the revealer plans. I'm wondering if Michele Val Jean did a first with BTG in 2025. But the BTG thread is already so busy -- that I thought it important to *NOT* clog it up with discussing this, so I brought the question here instead. That way, if other reveals come up in conversation, it's not a problem on this "general retro soap" thread.
    • Well, good that they showed Vanessa though I wish she was there.   Lol. And here comes Naomi. AND an explanation from Jacob.

She is diabolical! Remember in this scene she offered Martin a brownie which seemed so random? In this episode its revealed that when he was a kid, Ted used to bring him to a restaurant where the waitress would give him brownies....that waitress was Leslie. She was playing games and trying to jog his childhood memory
    • Yay!!!!!! And made it ON TIME, TOO!!!   And this is giving DAYS reveals circa late 90s already.
    • Bish what? I was not expecting that, I was for sure expecting him to go after Nicole (He still can). Looks like Leslie put her out! I love these new developments, Eva Dorian Lording her way into Fairmont Crest. My good sis better trap that doctor.
    • It should be in its synopsis on the DVR description of the show.
