I'm looking forward to the island story. Seems like an old school 'adventure' without the budget. Glad we finally saw Sarah. Reminded me of the Hope reveal at Maison Blanche. I'm excited for Sarah and Abby to see each other. I like that it isn't all Kristen. Half this mess was made by Gwen and Ava who I'm also enjoying together. As absurd as it is I'm enjoying it.

I've already voiced my opinion on Craig and Nancy. They needed to tell the story differently or use a different couple.

The devil is lame. They should've written him like True Blood's Maryann, demon succubus feeding on dark energy throwing the town into angry, violent orgies by the end. Like Trump but with balls.

Still loving Stacy's Kristen.

Who wrote today? There was some bad dialogue.

We had Nancy talking about how she loves that Craig is a REAL MAN... inferring that he's not a real man because he's secretly gay.

Then we had Chloe talking about how Craig was always "different" from the other dads because he enjoyed opera and what not. Stereotype much? It is hard to believe that a gay man is the headwriter of this show.

There was also a line where Roman essentially said he hopes EJ gets raped in prison. I get that EJ is a rapist himself and that Roman has every reason to dislike him, but really? Roman has too many women close to him who have been raped for them to have him making jokes like that. They could've left that line out or just have him say he hopes EJ gets beat up.

Lol!  Brady likes signing, musicals, opera and all those things-the person Chloe was married to and talking to.  Stupid dialogue and stupid reasoning.

Roman had some weird lines today.  The EJ ones and the initial Nancy/Craig stuff.  He's still mad on Carrie's behalf about something they did 20 years ago?  I don't think Carrie even cares anymore and hasn't for about 19 years lol.

I don't know what to think about Sarah's behavior.  I am slightly interested in this.

And Xander proposing to Gwen with Sarah's ring.  The show isn't even pretending we should root for Xander/Gwen.  Talk about the tackiest, most insensitive thing.

As Ryan Murphy and the talentless hacks at Riverdale show, gay men are happy to push anti-gay imagery and gay stereotypes. This is the same moron who had gay men faking hate crimes to get a boyfriend, and trying to sexually assault straight men in-between Golden Girls marathons. He is shameful and does nothing but perpetuate the easy contempt many straight people have for gay men. He treats them as "others," as weird, pathetic, and a joke. I hope all the people at sites like Daytime Confidential who blew his ego up with no real  cause are happy - then again, I guess one of them has a job there...

In that case, Dr. Frasier Crane and his brother, Niles, have a ton of explaining to do, lol.

Now we understand why he was always so desperate to get John back under his control.

    • Overall I was impressed with this week and fall out from the revealation.  I am looking forward to seeing the Nicole/Dana showdown next week.  I do wonder if June is going to be tied to Hayley.
    • I thought Adam and Sara got married? Although I do not remember any mention of her when Adam returned for Blake's weddings. But MA certainly got the short end of the stick storywise, as Marland's obsession with therapy reared it's head.
    • Didn’t Meg Bennett return to SFT as a writer in the last few years. I always wondered if they tried to get her back as Liza.
    • Millette Alexander got the short end of the stick once they killed off Joe. The Justin thing was a non-starter. Then she was briefly married to Alan's corrupt lawyer and HE was killed off. She was paired briefly with Adam and that ended because she believed Holly over Roger about the rape. Definitely, Marland had zero interest in her except as the therapist for the many, many of his female characters who needed therapy. It's not odd she left the show. One of the rare 1978 episodes on YT shows Alan going to Cedars for a physical check-up. He ends up with Sarah as his doctor. In between making mysoginistic comments about women doctors, he also openly flirts with her. It's very obvious they were chem testing Sarah and Alan. It's a really good scene. Bernau is both obnoxious and charming and Millette is amazing, trying to be pleasant and profesional without rolling her eyes at him, but at the same time maybe a LITTLE bit attracted to him. An interesting what-might-have-been. So it appears the Dobsons were actively looking for someone to pair her with, they just never found the right one for a long-term story.

You've inspired me to add my 2 cents about this product placement debacle.  I absolutely HATE the way they are doing product placement in BTG. I really hope this doesn't catch on or evolve into more and more of these moments. It's incredibly off-putting to place them in a highly dramatic moment where we are still on the emotional journey with the character. What is next - Dani spraying the house while having a nervous breakdown? It makes me not want to buy the product they're selling. LOL. That's just me.
    • I always get the vibe that Martin/Smitty have an emotional abusive relationship set up... but I doubt the show will really go there with that element given that Martin is a Dupree (and we can't have the Duprees be portrayed in a negative light), and because it's a gay male relationship.   Even though abuse in the physical or emotional sense is a huge thing in a lot of gay and lesbian relationships. The Ashley/Naomi scene reads off to me for one reason....  Ashley was talking about the new scandal without any sort of mention and/or subtext.. considering she knew both Silk Press Sheila and Eva.  I'm not sure if the writers have forgotten, if Jen Jacobs isn't able to play subtext, or what.   It's just apparent the writers do not know how to write a young white millennial couple.. and perhaps they need to get a younger white script writer to be on staff... or let the actors play around with the lines to make them more natural/realistic.
    • This is as good a time as any to point out that the 90 minute show was, what I like to call  "cockamamie idea" of Fred Silverman, head of NBC Daytime Programming. He did so well at ABC & CBS but not so NBC. We learned this from a WOST interview with Pete Lemay, 2006, can be found on YouTube, audio only. Now, to be clear, Rauch was completely behind it. Only Lemay fought against it & eventually quit over it.
