Jenny Bransford still very much looks like herself. Looks like she's been busy in the Social Education Field over the last few years.

I think SJB still looks like herself but she definitely lost a ton of weight - perhaps having celiac disease might have something to do with it?

No one is asking them to be at her bedside, but they at least could've shown Cam or Joss talking through the door asking if Trina is all right? While they could've had Trina say something like "Yeah" or they could've had said that they checked on her offscreen, and she was asleep.

This makes me wish they would bring in another young adult male onto the scene to mix it up with Trina. Causing Spencer to be like "What is happening?" And this one wouldn't be interested in Josslyn romantically either. But we know that's not happening anytime soon.

I also think the issue is they write the teens on this show like they're 15 or 16 and not 18 or 19 in college. And I do think it's weird they never have Trina tell off Esme everytime Esme say something cunning to her.

100%.  Trina is much better and more interesting than Joss.

Could be.  My sister was diagnosed with Celiac's disease and she lost a lot of weight because it's just so limiting on what you can eat.

Yeah.  They should have checked on her.  It just really wasn't something that I noticed or bothered me, so I was curious why it was bothering others.

A lot has gone wrong in this teen storyline, but I think this was just the last straw for a lot of fans (me included). They brought Spencer on and had him immediately click with a Trina, teasing that couple all summer long. As they’re about to have their first kiss, they bring on his long-term girlfriend and that’s the story for the next six months.

I’m sure SM’a schedule hasn’t helped, but it feels like a bait and switch. Having Trina be absent for the culmination of the cabin trip, where Esme finally gets told off, was just bad storytelling. But to me it also feels like a sign of where this story is going. I know GH does this all the time, they take potentially great stories or pairings and throw them away. Doesn’t make it less annoying.

I do think Trina/Spencer is where the show is going it's just taking a while and it's lost its momentum some what.

All the teens are decent and I think SM and WL are a cut above, but I have trouble seeing any of them leading the show in the way it was obvious KMc or JJ could immediately.  I think you could tell someone like SBu was very capable even when Jason Q was a bore. Even if Vanessa was a green actress in the beginning you could tell she was a star in about 5 scenes.  Eden McCoy has been leading stories for several years now and the fact is she's just bland.   I think EM would work much better in a supporting role and Trina should be the lead, but I think that's the general consensus of this entire board lol.

Yeah, you all are making me dread these scenes when I get to them. Even sounds like there is some bit of backlash online, too.

To think I was excited for the teens to make it to that cabin they have been building up to for months and it goes bad wrong, not soap bad wrong.

Well, I'll judge it when I get there.

I did go ahead and watch the first few minutes of the Chase in black boxer briefs clip online. Black socks. My kind of man. lol.

They're all pretty green except Lipton, who is susceptible to bad habits picked up from older hams. I think he's the most skilled but Mikayla and Chavez are enjoyable and charismatic and have a ton of potential, plus they're not chained to Joss. McCoy is passable at best. Still, overall it's the strongest talent GH has had in a youth scene since the 2000s.

Ha I never thought of It that way before but I can definitely see Lipton having picked up some chewing the scenery habits from RoHo. I agree though they’ve got some nice talent to develop here. We were quite spoiled in the 90s with Kim Mc, JJ, Amber, Becky and even Steve Burton back then.

    • Thanks for these. I can't recall -- did Evan's vendetta have any position on Mitch, or was it all about Rachel? @Maxim have you seen any Frames intreracting with Mitch in any way?
    • Thank you for the tag! It's always a pleasure to see these little pearls of memories.
    • Uh-oh. Today just might’ve been the first Paula/Jeanne stinker. I have a feeling whose fault that might be though. So, Doug III is getting a job at the Pub?  It’s good to see him interact with other characters. I enjoyed his scenes with Roman, even though the talk of Frankie and Max seemed a little random. And it also could be really interesting now that Tate knows. Days really need to start pushing their rivalry again. We need some follow up from the punch. Tying it all to Holly, to Sophia’s pregnancy, to the guys that Doug III owes money to could be good.  But yeah, wayyy too much Leo again in today’s episode. Seriously, has anything changed with this nothing character? I thought it was all Ron’s fault, but maybe Greg Rikaart is (partially) responsible for Leo being so insufferable.  And yeah seriously, Rafe needs to throw all of these people out of his house. Including Gabi

But I do wonder who’s the mysterious voice that Gabi overheard with EJ on the night he was shot. Based on yesterday’s episode, I have a suspicion.
    • Add me to the group of people who think that Brandon has improved. He has. There's no doubt about it. Especially compared to the beginning. And he's improving in a way that... it makes me think that he realizes what the issues are and is addressing them. Of course, he's no master of acting at this point... but I don't cringe as much as I did. And I've seen people in Bold... I won't even have to name names, because everyone knows who they are... who are becoming even worse than what they were offering in the first place. So... I'm happy that in BTG... people are actually blossoming and improving. It surely means that the atmosphere is creative and nurturing talent.  BUT and it's a big butt... his relationship with his husband is still so lacking and ghastly. I am craving to see more action from these guys. I want to see Smitty's character. If he has any.
    • Thank you. You guys come to the rescue again. I'll take a look later.   Thank you for the info!!! Now I find myself less confused. You and @DRW50 are amazing.
    • I know Passions used this trope with Ethan and Sam to drag out the paternity, but GH seems to speed through certain stories while dragging others.
    • For any other soap, I think I’d agree, but GH, I don’t know

    • Agreed, that there was some strange choices in the episode, especially at the end, but overall, that was some great drama that opens up the potential for so much future storyline. Kat vs. Eva having the most potential, especially over Tomas. I have mixed feelings about Martin/BC though. I thought he did pretty well in scenes with Smitty/MM, but the scenes of him confronting Leslie and of him throwing the books were bad lol she acted circles around him.  It’s similar to what Harding Lemay said about George Reinholt at AW; he could be brilliant in one scene, but then mediocre in the next.
    • I know some of y'all really like Brooke Kerr, and so I've tried to give her a shot, despite her frequent flat line readings and distracted "did I leave the front door unlocked?" facial expressions. But lord, she is so bad at playing a tough-talking badass that I was actually rooting for Brad today to spill the beans to Drew.
