tbh, it's about time. It's been weird af having Chloe on and off w/o any family ties in Salem. And holy crap KS looks handsome as ever.

in my head Craig has his sights set on chief of staff and will be Kayla's foil + Tripp's mentor? And Nancy will sort of take Julie's place in Salem as the town busybody, fighting with all the younger girls, etc.

I guess the January 2022 preview for Days never got posted.
It says that Nancy shows up unexpectedly to tell Chloe some shocking news about Nancy's relationship with Craig.

This is from the daily cable guide spoilers:

Friday, January 14, 2022
Chloe receives an unexpected visit.

Monday 17 January 2022
Nancy explains to Chloe and Brady why she thinks Craig is having an affair.

Friday 21 January 2022
Craig arrives in Salem to set the record straight with Chloe and Nancy.

And now we have Ron tweeting regarding this storyline:
"Brace yourselves…"

"Craig arrives in Salem to set the record straight with Chloe and Nancy."
Yeah I've seen more than one person speculate...
To set the record straight... that he's not straight?

This.
It would be EXTREMELY offensive, the way rewriting Y&R Philip as gay with this extremely dumb retcon was offensive because it was coming out of Thom B. being gay in real life. And just the same way people insisting Y&R Kevin should be gay despite having never shown any hint to the contrary.
The fact the actor is gay IRL should have NO bearing on the sexuality of the character and especially not retroactively. And that people are even suggesting it, other than to joke around, pisses me off.

RC better not go there. Maybe she *thinks* so as an inside joke but it turns out to be something else. I'd accept that. But Craig is straight and any attempt to change that is not acceptable.

Raven-Symoné famously insisted that her character, Raven Baxter on "Raven's Home," not be a lesbian just because she is in real life.

What you said above is exactly why I think actor's personal lives should be left out of their character's stories. However, Craig has been off the show long enough that it is plausible for this twist to be believable. Additionally, back when it was rumored that Kevin was gay (an era when that info was mostly taboo in the industry) many actually wanted Craig to be gay but not for the reasons you'd think. Some people couldn't fathom any other reason why someone that looked like Craig could get with someone that looked like Nancy since she was plus sized.

The Phillip gay storyline was offensive because it was used to explain how he was alive and how/why he faked his death.

Craig being gay wouldn't be offensive. I'm sure you've heard of gay men marrying a woman and having children with her and years later coming out? @FrenchBug82

    • Thanks for that. It was great to see her in an interview. She's very likable. Although it was somewhat confusing. What new soap is she talking about going on audition for in 1973. Was it The Young and the Restless? The editing around that part was weird and choppy. I felt like there was a chunk missing or something. And I'm not sure why she was saying she got colorectal cancer from HPV and said it's because she never got the HPV vaccine but then said she's never had anal sex. I'm not a doctor but that didn't seem to make any medical sense. I don't know. Maybe I'm tired. It just seemed like some of this interview didn't make sense.
    • If it helps any, the last script cover from the Elman papers that I have is from episode #3,736 airdate November 15, 1977. Writers are the Hollands with Frank Salisbury.
    • B&B really does look incredible. The lighting and the polished sets have made a significant difference how visually appealing the show is now.
    • I found the problem with the Labine era was that the show lost some humour when the Labines came on and it could be dull. They also didn't seem to understand some of the characters. As others have said, it looks fantastic in comparison to the next regime but I just remember boredom being the primary response.
    • Something I didn't realize: Frank Ashmore, who played Monica's investigator Corrigan in 1981, was also Victor, the third guy in the cockpit, in Airplane!
    • Thanks, maybe I will skim through those episodes.  I have previously binged late 1985 through early 1987; April-June, August 1992 (I skipped Carlo Hesser murder trial), Jan-March 1995 and I began watching in 2006. I just struggle to stay consistent with routines especially binging routines haha
    • I could've sworn we went over the Bobbie thing a while ago, and saw her introduced to Rick and Lesley as "Nurse Barbara" in very late '77? Or was that early '78? I know the clip is online. Jackie always credited Marland with creating her IIRC.
    • Thanks.  Loon Lake - very on the nose. With that "dad" outfit Bo looks even more like Cassie's father...
    • Luna parachutes herself into Llanview at the end of September 15th 1991.
    • That lengthy flashback does make me wonder if she threw out a lot, but I agree it may have been too easy an urban legend. Would these have been her very first episodes? I imagine you could feel the big difference when Bobbie arrived, alongside the Quartermaines filing in, the return of Heather, and Lesley/Rick/Monica/Alan heating up. It does remind me that there must have been some dud moments in the 60-minute format we just don't see because little of the period is available in full.  I wonder how much longer the Dantes lasted under Marland.  David Hamilton is so disgusting. I appreciate the show making him disgust as some shows when they have stories about older men or women manipulating teens aren't as honest.  I can't see this Rick being friends with him. Chris Robinson's Rick, on the other hand, I could believe.
