I've thought the last few episodes have been pretty decent. Although the constant talk about no drama and settling down, etc, was a bit overdone. Of course, that's never going to happen. I've found myself enjoying most of the scenes though without wanting to fastforward.

For a show set around the fashion industry, it amazes me how poorly Ridge and Thomas are styled. Nothing about them looks "trendy". They look like they could have come from the 60's. Just putting them in a suit does not clean them up. Those in the fashion industry would realize that!

The choices for the wedding weren’t good. Hopes dress was terrible and Paris’s want much better. These ladies have great figures, it shouldn’t be difficult to dress them.  Brooke looked nice in her sparkly number.
Thomas’s plus one was his man bun.

Speaking of Officer Byrd, Judge Judy's finalie should have been big, but there was no fan fare at all.

I get peacemaking but Hope is a bit too forgiving for agreeing to be Steffy's maid of honor. The gesture was nice though.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the rumors behind what Finn's dad suspicious behavior is about

We have talked many times about Bell's pacing but imagine how much more powerful Sheila's appearance would have been if we had been slowly treated to the mystery of his origins for months. If, even in a throwaway scene during the whole whos-the-father story, it had been hinted Finn might have a secret mother.
We literally met Finn's parents and even heard anything about his history three days ago. This is such bad pacing and plotting, sorry.

Word. Things just feel thrown in (see Justin’s sudden plot against Bill, which at least made *some* sense, yet it’s been seemingly abandoned). “Make it up as you go along” feels like the CBS way these days.

It is Bad Plotting 101 : Brad and Co. had brought on Finn to please most of the audience because they wanted Steffy with someone new (I did too) Yet, he didn't do any characterization for him in terms of his background. We don't even know if Finn is from California or back East? If we knew he was adopted since at least three months ago we could've gotten the mystery built up more. This felt like Brad had just thought out of this out of blue with no prior thought until a few months ago.

I couldn't said it better myself.

    • I know there was one brief scene in the summer of 1989 where Lillian did mention Calla.. but in relation to her past relationship to Ross and it was to Roger while he was a patient at Cedars.  I think he was trying to pump her for information on Ross.. and for some reason, Calla's name came up.   I could see perhaps Beth mentioning that her mother Lillian was visiting Calla.. but not exactly giving any sort of details as to the going ons in Calla's life off screen.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
    • I also never understood Alex's friendship with Sonni or keeping the secret of Marah's paternity.  Not exactly heartbroken about Ms. Sally being ushered to the Hereafter.

I'm sorry but I'm a glutton for punishment. Would love to see this woman OWNING the canvas. Telling off Leslie who tells her she's the head b!tch.
    • And in case anyone is confused; Rusty was hired by HB to work undercover and infiltrate some gang sabotaging Lewis.
