As far as Willow and Michael. I probably see it from a different perspective since I only started watching again after many years when they were showing repeats, so I never saw them with Sasha and Chase.

Exactly. I'm all for 'normal' too but even Hallmark wouldn't want Michael and Willow! Zzzzzzzz

Laura and Kevin, while not the most exciting pairing, fill that 'normal' couple for me, even though we barely see them together (was this week a fluke or did they hear the bitching?)

To make them interesting, have Michael run daddy's business and then Willow gets blown up. We all win.

I have no doubts. LOL I can't wait

Right? I noticed that. I'm guessing Botox. And yeah, this is what it's come to. LOL. I get milking a villain and I'd have milked Peter a bit too in storyline even though we all hate him, but it's really time to wrap this up soon.

LOVE Britt and Brook Lynn. Both of them on my screen makes me so happy. They are totally the anti-Sasha and Willow. I pay attention when the former two are on-screen. I fall asleep when the latter two are on. Sasha had potential but Mattsson is still green and they don't seem interested in Sasha despite keeping her around.

Why is he whispering everything in that weird breathless voice? Why? Why does no one over there tell him it is a bad choice? And if he is deluded into thinking whispering sounds threatening then why does he do it when he is supposed to be loving? And if he thinks whispering sounds loving, why does he do it when threatening?

Some of the WTF performances recently from usually good actors (Laura Wright’s high-pitched screeching, Genie Francis yelping in fear, William Lipton’s constipated angry face-scrunching, Jeff Kober and MEK’s work on most occasions) leads me to believe something has gone very wrong behind the scenes.

That said, I’m at a loss as to what Wes is doing and why no one has intervened. It’s one of the most befuddling long-running performances I’ve seen on daytime in a while.

Ugh what I hate about Frank's one-off episodes is that he has a tendency to retcon a whole bunch of things that goes completely against things that were previously addressed on-screen (I'm still not over the Carly's journey to Port Charles re-write leading to Nelle meeting her from a few months ago). In this case Mikkos being abusive to Kristin is news to me considering how Alexis described the dynamic to Helena in 2004.

    • Coming into June...   It just occurred to me that seeing Carter/Hope engaged that there was something missing. Oh, yeah! DAPHNE. I missed a few episodes, but she left, right? So is Ridge going to be the spoiler for Carter/Hope now? I felt that Daphne/Carter/Hope had more legs to it. But I guess we will see.   I did enjoy that show circling back around to Luna/Will/Electra. Katie was spitting nothing, but truth. Same for Sheila. And it's good to see Luna vs Electra, and they gave off more adversary chemistry this time around versus when they were at Deacon's.    I was happy to see Liam reduced to C plot.
    • To bring over from the May Sweeps Thread from @Chris B   I know the fashions have gotten mixed reviews but I actually like what the new costume designer is putting the cast in. It feels more modern and the more tacky pieces I feel make sense for rich people. They're buying for the brand and the price and we often see celebs in things like this. Especially for a character like Nikki, I feel the more over the top (and tacky), the more realistic it is.   I agree. While it has been hit and miss no question, I have found it fascinating to watch what the costume designer is attempting to do with the various characters and their clothes. Some have been overdue. Some have been fascinating. But (outside of Billy) not boring to watch. I definitely find it more modern as well.   My growing issue has been it's not good that the best reason to watch Y&R as of late has been to see what people are wearing rather than the writing. It feels like a red flag.
    • Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss.    I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
    • And that charity does still get mentioned from time to time. I want to say the last time was some time this year, too.
    • Oh, no. Vernon has definitely had his moments.   Choose silence anyone?
    • Search YT for Edwyn Sanchez, he posted an AI enhanced episode of ATWT and it is beautiful.
    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
