Sharon case is usually solid, but she’s been acting more like an airhead actress the past few years at times. Almost comical like MS.  Could be the writing or her acting choices trying to keep up with the faster pace and vibe of the writers.

I just hope they use her more now, She's had two appearances, Her actress looks like she could really be Mishaels sister and the character is fiery.

Agree, the show could use someone new with some pep in her step.

I still love Sharon Case and think it’s the writing more than her acting. In no way is she like the cartoon character that Phyllis has morphed into.

I love me some Lauren but had to laugh at her lecturing Sally and Summer on women treating women well. Send them an ice cream sundae why don’t you Lauren?

That is sloppy. An egg donor and sperm donor is too much for one story. 

 

Now, if it were two separate stories, and two separate character orbits, and this is interconnect both, I could kinda buy it.

I know people use "convoluted" as an insult but I would actually almost be interested in the story if it was pulling on several storyline threads that had been established WAY in advance.
Here it is just dumped on our doorstep out of nowhere. 
If you are going to have your characters' lives be entangled in unlikely ways, set. it. up. That's the magic of soaps: you have the time and the long-term to weave a story like that.

Here it is just plot just served up already piping out out of nowhere presumably to tee up an upcoming storyline. But HOW WE GET THERE is part of the fun.
This is bad writing as a plot but particularly bad writing for a soap where you could find ways to spruce up a bad plot with some interesting beats.

Here we get the over-the-top unrealistic soap nonsense but without at least the satisfaction of having the story told soap-style which is the saving grace of some of those dumb plots.
To compare with something that was done better, while the Ashley/Abby twist was kind of last minute and out-of-character for Ash (btw how does the story of Abby's conception not figure more in this current story. Come on!), the entire Diane/Victor/Nikki sperm donor saga was ridiculous to the extreme, incredibly unlikely and yet they played every beat out of it and we understood how these convenient coincidences dovetailed with character motivations.

 

Why was Lauren’s dressing down of Sally and Summer done at Society — in a damn restaurant? Yes, we all know why, but it doesn’t make it any less ridiculous.

The new Faith is a dead ringer for AAL.

The egg is Abby's. So she really has a surrogate and a sperm donor. Still too much for one story. 

I wonder how CLB would look with a beard.

 

It would have been interesting if Victoria had stumbled on Chelsea’s plot and had gotten in on it.

 

Victoria’s relationship with Victor doesn’t progress. Rinse, repeat, zzzzz.

I don’t like when characters are aged literally in one episode. Maybe it would have been a good idea to send Faith away for a few months with a new actress. 

Who used to do the Y&R episode counts? I noticed they haven't been posted lately. I hope the person is okay. When stuff starts to go missing, I always worry.
