DAYS: EJ NOT Recast

Albatross Cane!

EDIT: it seems this may be wishful thinking/a campaign on Goddard's part based on a predictions article. F&cker made it sound like a done deal.

That being said, it wouldn't necessarily be the worst recast.

Calm down, people. This is so far NOT true. The tweet Daniel shared included an image from Soaps.com where they posted their PREDICTIONS for 2021. Could be true. Could possibly not be true. But it's not true now:

The link you cited is a "gallery" of random photos and ideas. Some are predictions and some are supposed to be silly/fake.

Here is the "article" that goes with it:

https://soaps.sheknows.com/soaps/news/588016/soaps-2021-what-will-happen-next-spoilers/

And the "article" has these disclaimers:

Begin quote:

"2021 Predictions for All Four Soaps: Our Wildest Dreams and Greatest Fears for the Year to Come"

predictions-mashup

we’ve decided to play armchair headwriter and offer up teases for what we think is coming down the pike on not only General Hospital and Days of Our Lives but The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful.

Sometimes, we’ve just read the writing on the wall and reprinted it;

other times, we’ve gone so far out on a limb that we’ll be surprised if it doesn’t snap beneath the weight of us.

But we digress. What you are about to read are our predictions.

We in no way, shape or form know that these things are going to happen.

We just have a hunch, a feeling.

End quote.

So we were supposed to read the "article" with its disclaimers first, then click on the "gallery".  Which is silly because anyone might click on the gallery first and never see what they wrote about it.

When Daniel Goddard tweeted the screencap, he put a wink in the text of his tweet.

He deleted the tweet?  Ha!

See I think casting him is a good idea. He’s a good actor and the role of EJ could fit him better than Cane who was poorly written. With that said, once again he’s acting a fool which is making him undesirable to be cast. He did that constantly at Y&R micromanaging his role and now he’s trying to trick people into thinking he’s EJ? Why not see the suggestion and call your agent?

    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.

Newsom is a craven opportunist, but his comments today were exactly how better people need to handle Trump.
