ABC: ‘All My Children’: Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos Developing Primetime Version

I'm not a fan of SMG.  She comes off as stuck up. But she's a "big name" and unfortunately AM is not.

I agree Alicia did an incredible job.  When I saw they were recasting Kendall I was really skeptical.  But she nailed it, I didn’t spend a lot of time comparing them.

 

However, Sarah played the nasty side with so much more visceral rage.  Her Kendall was a nightmare for Erica.  She showed us how broken and sad Kendall was too.  SMG also was on a much stronger written era, a better overall version of All My Children.

 

I also know network execs.  The role is SMG’s if she wants it and agrees to their deal.  I would be shocked beyond belief if she isn’t approached before anyone else for the role.  Even if Kendall isn’t going to be a lead character, I would think she gets the call before anyone else.

 

The question remains though- how does Susan Lucci feel about that?

This show is a publicity dream for ABC. Gellar and Lucci reunited.  Will they or won't they get along? Add in Kelly and Mark as their "bosses" and Eva La Rue who had success on CSI and is friendly with everyone.

wasnt sure, the way  Mark & Kelly have spoken sounded like a done deal. ABC just passed on another Pilot they produced, Work Wife

Exactly. You can bank that she is back if this show happens. And you can bank that they will do a PR blitz with her and Susan making nice. I have always appreciated Sarah's steadfast and vocal support of the soaps and AMC, but she has owed Susan an apology for those shenanigans for a long time.

All this talk of Kendall. How about Erica's favorite daughter, Bianca? Eden needs to make an appearance at some point. In fact, Bianca's new wife, and two daughters should feature as Pine Valley's modern family.

I think if SMG did this it would be very limite d, cause I have read she has a few projects in the works, so I doubt she'd be able to do it full time.

 

I wonder if it will focus on Erica's grandkids being even more SORASed than they were on AMC 2.0 and obviously kids from other PV residents

The pilot script.

Fingers crossed it’s good and gets picked up! I’m confident they’ll at least get a pilot out of it. If Star is any indication, he knows how to give you the type of twisty soap that would at least get you through the door. I’m just wondering with it being submitted now, would this even be in contention for next season? Or for Fall 2022.
