Lol, obviously, not the OP, but I am going to assume they were talking about Elizabeth's rape.  Emily's rape was awful including having Nik cheat because Emily didn't get over it quick enough.

I would say on Days Kayla's rape?  Maybe Stephanie's wasn't that bad.  Jen and Sami's weren't awful, but I didn't think they were outstanding either.  God, a lot of Days ladies have been raped: Julie, Marlena, Kayla, Jen, Sami, Ciara, Allie, and that's just off the top of my head with current characters.

Not to mention Kristen was once trapped into sex slavery, Abby's basic rape by Stefan, and Nicole's porn issues in her youth a lot of these women have been sexually menaced.  It's pretty disgusting.

I think Kimberly Brady was also raped, and Hope having sex with John while brainwashed into thinking she was Gina is rape because Hope could not consent.  Wasn’t Laura also raped by Bill?

DAYS also has more rapists that became romantic leading men- Jack, Lawrence, EJ (which I get some fans do not think was a rape), Bill...I hope I am not forgetting anyone.  Jeez.

At least GH learned their lesson with Luke.

Unfortunately, DAYS is the rape soap. I can’t even name another soap that has had multiple mothers, daughters and granddaughters all be raped?

Even a few male characters have been victims of rape.

That's what YouTube is for. Watching it now, and it's pretty good. Plus, it features Judi Evans, who's looking surprisingly well after her ordeal earlier this year.

Kimberly was molested and then she had to sleep with Victor to save Shane or something like that so yes.  Laura was raped.  Hope technically slept with Stefano as well as Gina, so definitely rape.

Jack at least had a lengthy redemption arc. Days never sugarcoated the fact Jack was a rapist, but definitely over compensated by making him 'wacky' and comic relief.  Lawrence wasn't really ever redeemed.  He got Carly, but that didn't really turn out as a win for him.  And the less said about EJ and that mess the better.  I think the Laura/Bill thing went back and forth throughout the years as to whether it was rape or not by the writers.  Even though not a rapist, Steve was a pretty awful guy when he came on menacing both Hope and Kayla.  So Days really has had some shady male leads.

Days also has it share of female rapists that became leads with Kristen and Sami, so they are equal opportunity.

I do applaud GH for staying away from rape for a long time after Luke and Laura.  If GH had Days rape tendencies Felicia, Anna, Brenda, and Robin all probably would have been rape victims.

Glad to see JJ back but I'll have mixed feelings if they end up pairing him with Gwen. I kind of want to see that but at the same time I don't. A JJ/Gwen pairing will probably end up dumbing JJ down a lot but it could also spark a really good rivalry between Gwen and Abigail.

I haven't read any spoilers, but isn't Gwen going to turn out to be his half-sister? The show's been dropping some hints that Jack might be her father.

I've heard that, but I've heard so many other theories that I can't even guess what Gwen's going to turn out to be. JJ did seem a little interested in her today though.

I enjoyed their individual scenes with other characters before they all came together at the Pub to commiserate over their relationships with Sami. I thought that was broken down pretty well. I just wish it had gone on a little longer. And I actually found it kinda funny too lol it seemed more mature than what we're used to. That's the kind of humor that should be on a soap. But I'm not really sure about all this talk of Dante Vitali and Sami's engagement though, especially since it doesn't look like Ali Sweeney is coming back anytime soon. What's the point of it all if we're (probably) not going to see it? It also looked like today was the first round of Brady vs. Xander as well lol I enjoyed their fight, and I'm interested in seeing this storyline play out. Even though I'm sure that Sarah will ultimately go back to Xander in the end, I'd like to see what happens along the way, and how they and everyone around them are affected by this. Btw, Theo and Jada? Idk. I still think he had the most chemistry with Arianna. And he was a bit of a dick too. It also seemed a little out of character for Jada for her to be so OK with him being such a dick  And though Alex and Stephanie were very boring again and need much better conflict than this book stuff, I am interested in the mystery of who's targeting Alex.  And yeah, I know this is a nitpick, but why is the Square still open after the gala? Isn't it supposed to be really late at night?
    • In fairness, Hillary and Bob Woods were thick as thieves again at least by the end of OLTL. But both she and I believe Mark Derwin not so subtly dissed Kale Browne in the oral history, lol.

    • Frat Boy Jr.'s reaction to seeing Luna was just awful acting. It was so bad that I started laughing.

Does anyone have screenshots of it?
    • Geez, I hadn't heard that Doctors story. HBS really did go through it.
    • No offense to the actors involved, but dear God in heaven: I don't know HOW viewers managed to get through that storyline with Maggie, Frank, Cal and baby Jill without running into oncoming traffic.  Then, to make matters worse, they dragged poor Diana into the mess!  I don't care WHO gets that damn baby!  Just wrap it up and move ON already!
    • Poor HBS.  To have to put up with Stephen Burleigh, who stuck his knee between her legs while rehearsing a love scene on THE DOCTORS, then told the director that's what he did with his wife; Kincaid, who had more hair on his chest and upper lip than Koko the Gorilla; Kale Browne, who taped his lines all over the OLTL studio floor, because he couldn't ever be bothered to [!@#$%^&*] memorize them; and Robert S. Woods, who apparently thought it was still 1979 and that he was still smolderingly sexy, so why should Bo Buchanan be stuck being in a happy marriage with Nora?  After all that, no wonder she jumped at the chance to play a lesbian on VENICE, lol.
    • @Maxim Thank you for the mini-review and clip from several pages ago. I appreciate you using the Bo/Alex clip as them meeting again by this point was a real surprise to me. The scene has some layers, getting a glimpse of Alex genuinely wanting the best for Bo rather than gloating. I was disappointed it ended with Tina dragging her out of the room for some much less interesting sparring (I did enjoy Alex pointing out just how quickly Tina got over Cord).
