This episode was more entertaining than anything I had watched on YR these past few weeks. Does anyone know where I can watch the rest of this week's classic eps? MAB was the pits, but her peaks were far better than most of what we’ve seen since. Her show at least had energy. But her far more frequent lows were truly abominable, desperate, and unwatchable.

She was such an egomaniac and enabled such unbridled homophobia and misogyny onscreen I don't think I could remember a positive thing about her tenure at this point. April 30, 20205 yr Member The best part of the episode was seeing Kay's dining room. Tomorrow is Katherine's wedding to Murphy. *snore* They had so many other great choices.

I’d much rather close out the week with the 1998 attic fight and Rex & Katherine singing “I’m Gonna Live til I Die” that anything from MAB & Co.’s reign of terror. 1 hour ago, DRW50 said: She was such an egomaniac and enabled such unbridled homophobia and misogyny onscreen I don't think I could remember a positive thing about her tenure at this point. The general victory lap she allowed herself to do when her own very limited abilities did not warrant anywhere near such a level of ego.
April 30, 20205 yr Member I'll watch episodes up to 2005. 2006 onward are not classics. Between LML, Josh Griffith, MAB, Paul Rauch, JFP, Chuck Pratt, Mal Young, Sally Sussman, Anthony Morina, I would say MAB is the lesser of nine evils despite her love for former sitcom actors and ABC leftovers.
April 30, 20205 yr Member MAB had the longest run of any of those hacks. So her tenure was a lot more painful for me to sit through and the most satisfying when her ass was rightfully fired.
April 30, 20205 yr Member That cake fight was tacky as hell, right? And completely unneeded? Like, the drama between Katherine and Jill was strong enough but then it was reduced to a joke. Which I know is indicative of so much more...
April 30, 20205 yr Member I remember liking MAB...until the whole town at the garbage dump thing + two doppelgangers running around at the same time. Even if I liked one of the doppelganger better than the other. At least she attempted to get Billy and Mac back together. But ugh at seeing later years Phyllis today versus yesterday's much better Phyllis.

April 30, 20205 yr Member I dont know how you guys remember specific head writers and who was the writer when and what their material was. I pay no attention to who the writers are even if I did I wouldnt remember them much a few years later and what they wrote and if it was good or not, lol.
April 30, 20205 yr Member I have to say after watching this episode, I really don't miss the LML/MAB era, but production values were still very Y&R-ish. Watching this reminded me of the mess they made of the Sharon character around this time. Additionally, Miller's acting as Billy vs Jason/Drew on GH is night and day.
