This is interesting. I used to associate anti vaxxing with liberal women who went down a rabbit hole. Looks like times have really change.

I do understand that a lot of people even in health care are hesitant to take the vaccine since it's so new. Hopefully there will be less virus in the population on the whole and that will save those people from getting it.

If you and your family live in Texas soapsuds, definitely try and be careful there.(And be careful in general no matter where you live) I am concerned about the lifting of the mask mandate, I could see that causing a potentially significant jump in cases. Texas needs to be careful or they could create their own variant like California/New York has. I have sympathy for people who work in public places like Walmart who now have to deal with even more anti maskers coming into their workplace. I have family that lives in Texas. One of my brothers and his wife, and niece live in Fort Worth. A lot of my sister-in-laws family lives there as well. I hope they stay safe there.

Also, today has been two weeks since I have been vaccinated with my second COVID-19 shot. I'm in the range of being about as protected as I'm going to be for the time being. And I am very grateful. I hope that more people get the opportunity to get this shot. And IMO people should take advantage of getting it while they can. Especially with restrictions easing up and us going into allergy season. I'm already noticing more people sneeze and cough even more as we are entering allergy season. That could put more people at risk for catching COVID and people need to continue to be careful.

Here where I live in NC, the next groups of people are now allowed to be vaccinated. The military here is now vaccinating high risk younger people ages 16-64. They are called by the naval hospital here and getting appointments only vaccinations.  And the governor is letting other essential frontline people that are not apart of the military get their shots starting Wednesday. That includes people in places like grocery stores. I'm glad that more people that work in these very high risk/high exposure places can now get vaccinated.

I'll also be glad when everyone that wants a vaccination can finally have access to a vaccine.

@xtr Thanks! Yes I'm here. I'm being very careful but haven't been vaccinated yet. My folks have been fully vaccinated....thank god! But they are still being careful.

Hope you brother and the rest of your family stay safe too since he's in Texas.

Olbermann is such a doofus for tweeting something like that.  Does he not realize that not every Texan agrees with Gov. Greg Abbott that it's safe to remove the mask mandate and fully reopen public spaces?  I think Abbott's a grade-A [!@#$%^&*], but I wouldn't want to see all Texans punished on account of him.

Ladies - this is really important. I know firsthand because I just went through this:

https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2021/03/02/health/swelling-mammograms-covid-19-vaccine-wellness/index.html?fbclid=IwAR2k3tV6B-bNV33FzpeHPUCF3QqfJXM3_WWlFFHS77GPOsUi2j_51pwEkJQ

I had my second Pfizer dose on February 13th. I had my annual mammogram on February 24th. On February 25th, I got a call saying that an irregularity had been found and that I needed to come back in. So yesterday, after having more photos taken and an ultrasound, it was determined that it was a cyst. I had my vaccine taken in my left arm, and it was the left they had to examine. I'm supposed to follow up in six months. Reading this article, it all makes sense.

    • Thanks. I'm glad we have some fan memories of these years as this is such a typically snide take on the genre. It's also poorly written and reminds me a great deal of the tedious "snark" recaps that became popular in the '90s. The end in particular. The 1979/80 stuff I have seen is much more polished than a number of soaps at the time. It was very easy to watch and not too bogged down in past story.  Margo is played by Ann Williams, who was on what seemed like every soap. I think she said Margo was her favorite role.  These episodes aren't consecutive, but if you ever have time, they are worth a watch. They are bits and pieces from January and April of 1979 - April in and out of prison, her past calling to her via her psychic powers (and the suicide of Miles' wife Denise, who had murder framing in mind). April 1979 has the end of Winter Austen (such a fantastic soap name).  I don't want to drop a ton of links but you can find playlists on Youtube.
    • And the rating 'wars' continue...hehe.
    • Well, it was fun while it lasted for Rebecca Herbst. Le sigh.
    • I am wholeheartedly enjoying this show. I just haven't been able to post as much as I used to. But yes, this episode needs to be submitted for the EMMYs and there needs to be wins. I better NOT see Y&R, DAYS, or B&B winning in categories over BTG. I feel like the only show that is giving BTG an ounce of competition this season is GH.
    • I never thought the day would come, but too much MM for me.
    • I think it may be that the character was brought in for a specific purpose and then became popular with viewers, and the show didn't know how to respond.  The choice to pivot away from Simon/India may show that you are right and they didn't care for her...although pairing them up may be another sign they didn't care for her. I don't connect well with this period but it does make me happy seeing some of these characters before the great purge and some of the surprises - I'd forgotten the wonderful Maureen O'Sullivan popped up to be bumped off. So typical of soaps by this point, but it doesn't grate as much as later on when Y&R would bring on any random cast member from Small Wonder. I'm also amazed at this time at just how much money the show must have had. The costumes for the Founder's celebration in summer 1984, or whatever it was, looked gorgeous.
    • Which officially started to feel that way today with them hearing each other out as they confronted each other at the same time.    Same. He was even catching himself when he was about to go overboard or do those tics that people don't seem to like. He failed a bit at the end, but he carried. It makes me think about a month back when it was discussed that the actor was better in other things he's been in. And I questioned then if that meant that he was playing Martin more intentionally. I questioned that briefly again today because he was giving.
    • I really like the actress who plays Margo. Don't know  her name. I'm so hesitant to google anyone because I don't want to know the length they were on the show. I've watched two episodes and I have to say that the show does not feel as dated as other shows. I tried to watch Ryan's Hope a few weeks back and some of the acting was a bit rough. EON is a lot more natural which amuses me considering it's a mystery/thriller show.
