I truly hope DG didn't request that Cane take Devon's money. It'd be way too tone deaf.  Cane's existence was a drag on the only Black family on the show and only benefitted DG. I still can't see him doing that to BJ.

Still it doesn’t look like BJ spent any words for his departure. I thought they were friends.

They are friends. BJ is his sons godfather. DGs last day hasn't aired yet. When it does, then I can judge it better. Still think it's odd nothing's been said yet.

I saw lane fans attacking any and everybody on social media. If bryton had any power, he sure wouldn't be so low on episode counts list. 

From what I've heard, DG is done.  As we move into the Amanda mystery, I wouldn't be surprised if Devon returns announcing Colin/Cane tried to scam him and he has his inheritance back!

Bryton James barely posts on social media at all. He seems like an extremely private person so I'm not surprised.

Bryton posts on social media far more now than he ever has. You're right though, he doesn't do a bunch of posting. But he typically does post support when people leave. Some canned words about how they'll be missed. 

I do wonder if the last episode he appeared in when he said good-bye was really his last episode. I wonder how they may end up tying up this inheritance storyline. Maybe something will happen offscreen and reveal that Devon really should have kept the inheritance.

 

There is an upcoming spoiler that says that Devon returns to town with unsettling news. Maybe he's found out the stuff regarding the new will is a scam.

I think the unsettling news is Amanda staying in town to represent Nate.

Woah that would be really satisfying! 

IMO DG would be all over social media with pics of him and the cast/crew, milking his departure lol. cast members don't wait to say goodbye or send fond wishes to a departing cast member til his or her last day, specially if the actor has already mad Ed it public, just saying
