They are the ones the writers want us to root for, " the moral compass" of the show, and they are written as justified whenever they from take things (men, jobs, etc) from other characters. Mariah worked because the show introduced her about a decade after Cassie’s death. We also never met adult Cassie. Hillary “died” less than a year ago. I haven't seen anything on their site confirming this but maybe this person has already gotten a copy of this week's SOD and saw the news in it. I also know that when she gets the magazines, she posts all the content/spoilers from it. This post wasn't from her own eyes. She saw it on another board. Probably why she ALSO deleted it.
