BE came across as uniquely unpleasant on AMC. There's something about growing up on a show versus being cast as a new character on a different show.

I agree there. Taylor wasnt needed and added zlich. She would have been better off staying at GL til the end. Maybe she would have landed elsewhere after

Ehlers became so different on-screen IMO. Taylor was a waste. I wish she had just stayed on GL but TBH, I was sort of sick of her and Harley (and I remember I hated Gus - just too much propping and trying to make fetch happen when it wasn't happening - and their pairing) so I didn't mind. I never understood why anyone used to like Harley until I watched older stuff. SO different.

Yes, it was not long after Becky joined the show in 1997. They only dated for a few months.

I wonder if that's why they didn't pair Jax and Elizabeth during the surrogacy storyline, because it was awkward for the actors.

Maybe.  Ingo dated BH's sister too, so I don't think it was that awkward.  Or maybe it made it more after that.  It didn't seem serious.
