Stumbled onto last week's episodes.

 

Monday was pretty good. 

James Reynolds was excellent in Monday's episode. The guy clearly can act.

He is a fantastic actor. It's because there's no direction any more and it's been so long since he's actually had to. Acting is just another muscle and when it's not used regularly it goes to [!@#$%^&*] like all the rest.

LOVED The Wednesday JJ Episode. It feels like forever to me since a show has dove into a character so deeply. 

 

And of course it made me go ahead and start last Thursday this morning. Hitting close to home, but can't look away.

If they are going to do Ciara vs Claire then they need to recast the role of Claire with a better actress.

 

Are we suppose to feel something for Eli? He is scum!  Don't care for the character at all.

And maybe make Ciara vs Claire happen slowly and organically.  After all, Sami vs Carrie took about two years before it became a full out war... and it made sense why Sami would start to go after Carrie.. and eventually made sense why Carrie would never trust Sami, etc.

 

The new Ciara is way better then the previous actress... just wish they had bought her back with just an edge and then taken a month or two to make her more of a chip on her shoulder, etc.

He did a truly wonderful job. very understated. and the actor who plays JJ did a wonderful job as well. when JR does true acting, he is just amazing. the scene with JJ in his hotel room, and the organic hug at the hosp.......I had to save that episode. and I didn't get a chance to see JJ's stand alone episode because Pres. Orange Jackass was on the same time the episode was on so I missed the whole thing. was it any good?

I'm feeling Sheri's influence more and more on the show. seems to me like human stories are being told once again. some of the acing has improved, and the writing as well. 

When Sami said goodbye, and she turned and looked at John, and started thanking him for finding Will, and he hugged her and said....

"I've always been in your corner."

I just started up. that entire relationship finally came full circle. I'm enjoying the show right now...will not say it's can't miss but I'm enjoying it.

Oh, I wish I had seen that moment between Sami and John.  It seems to me Sami was pretty nasty toward him BITD while the Marlena/Roman/John triangle was going on.

She hated John. Sami was the one who saw Jarlena cheating. Remember, she put Belle on the black market.

It really was a great scene. All of Sami’s goodbyes were great even though it doesn’t make a lick of sense that the kids wouldn’t just come to Salem for the holidays.

I like that Sherri has some influence and is there to keep Ron C in check.  She wad the one that restarted the john/Marlena affair due to their being trapped in the pit.  JER would repeat that stunt..but didn't include fall out from these stunts.

 

To me, stunts work if there is both pay off and long term fall out without becoming a hamster wheel.

 

I hope there is long term fall out from the abe/JJ/theo story.

 

Also, is the show starting up jennifer/Eric again?  Why did the shoe break them up? It was the one thing Higley did right.
