Maybe it's just because it's short-term, but Belle has proven her worth in three days more than Daniel did in years.  RC was heavy-handed with her, but her fight with Sami was classic sisters... but in the quest to make Sami relatable, they went too far when Belle compared her to the DiMeras.  Jim Reilly made them adversarial, but any other time, Belle was pretty sympathetic toward Sami.  To the detriment of Belle's character, too many writers think she's a straight Carrie substitute.  I hope Belle sees Eric.

 

Too bad Shawn has gotten the Lucas treatment the last 10 years.

 

On another note, I disagreed with Christopher Sean's acting choices at first, but those scenes wound up wonderful.  I just love Paul

I agree with all of this. I started watching at the same time as you at the same age too lol

Loved today's episode!  Paul's eyes popping out and squirming thinking Will was going to tell Sonny they were kissing and that he had the hots for him....LOL....priceless. I was glad Sonny was honest with Paul but he was a bit harsh. Sonny has come out as the douche bag in all this.

 

The ending with tears falling down Paul's face and then Will looking at Paul picture was excellent!

Really enjoyed Maggie's scenes with Eve and Lucas. I haven't been watching DAYS regularly in a long time, but as the ratings tick upwards, I've been having a look to see how it is and the show is fine, not great, no horrible, it's fine.

Yeah, it's not a show I run home to watch by any means, but it's passable soap in spite of the budget. With Y&R going back to foolishness, B&B just about unwatchable, and GH so hollow and easy to ignore, that's the high bar we have now. 

So I’m completely caught back up and the Will storyline has really picked up. Loved those scenes with Paul, and then the trio all together. 

 

I pretty much fast forward Hope/Rafe and the Theo Story when it involves anyone other than the DiMeras who are still my favorites.

 

Sucks that it’s pretty obvious Sami is going to go running looking for EJ again as I actually have enjoyed Sami feeling like Sami again. It’s always EJ stories that ruin her.

Maggie is doing my head in. The actress looks awesome for her age but that is where my kind words end. She doesn’t seem to fit in the show anymore but I guess being a sort-of Horton is the reason they keep her around? The business stuff with Victor, Brady and Maggie sends me to sleep, Eve is the only thing keeping it afloat. The Victor/Sonny scene was one of the best interactions I’ve seen from Victor. I loved the way he said it how it is about Will. I have to admit I am championing a Will/Paul pairing at this stage. I think chandler’s doing a great job again. They’ve written it so well. His scenes with Belle and then Eric were great. I didn’t know Will shot EJ.

Maggie, Doug, and Julie are my only reasons to tune in.

What on earth do you like about Maggie? I like Doug and Julie. Does anyone else find it remarkable that man is in his 90s? He's better looking than me fgs and I'm in my 20s.

I've been watching since 2006 and loved Maggie pre-Daniel. That ruined her but the Bonnie story was fun and the most I enjoyed her in about two years. I am actually liking Eve moving in with the Kiriakis and stirring up trouble. As long as Maggie never has to cry again or mention Daniel I'll enjoy her.  

I actually found Maggie well used in Friday's episode. Her showdown with Eve was the first time I saw her as Maggie Kiriakis and not Maggie Horton. Loved the end between her and Lucas.
