Least Talented Soap Actors Still on Contract

B&B

Thorsten Kaye (god awful and miscast, not sexy, phones it in, can't hide the accent, permanent raspy voice).  Look, you can forgive Nicole Kidman on Big Little Lies for the accent coming through, but she's so fierce in every scene, you can let it go.  Not so for this dude.

Days

Kyler Pettis (sorry, he's badddd, he comes across as gay which isn't a bad thing, and he acts like he's five, there's no chemistry with Claire)

Freddie Smith (he's terrible and more so since he returned)

GH

Hayley Erin (cut your losses, she's beyond the pale bad, no matter the material)

YR

Melissa Ordway (another wasted casting of an important legacy character)

Daniel Hall (ditto above)

Robert Adamson (ditto)

B&B - No way this award doesn't go to Rome Flynn. He's improved but the role should've been recast.

Alley Mills should not be on the show. Pam is irrelevant and a waste of a contract.

Y&R - KSJ/AH/PB all lead the pack here. I don't mind EB - he's like The Lucc - the actor/character are really the same.

MO gets a pass barely because the writers have never figured out what to do with character.

Thorsten Kaye absolutely. Look, Ronn Moss couldn't act for [!@#$%^&*], but he just was Ridge. Like Drake Hogestyn, he was a charmingly bad actor, and that bad acting was part of the show's DNA. Check your pride, Brad Bell, and bring him back.

Don't know if Elizabeth Hendricksen is on contract at Y&R, and I stopped watching Y&R regularly before she was on, but she has always been godawful on that show. Like on the rare occasion when I watch and she is on, I want to slap her instantly.

I've long believed Thorsten Kaye is one of daytime's WORST actors. I truly feel like the Kaye, Minshew, Budig, Mathison focus is what helped destroy AMC. Ridge has always, to me, been a somewhat smarmy character and no, Ronn Moss can't act all that well, but he had a certain way of pulling the role off. Kaye is just smug, wooden, and one note- flat- in every scene. He has  no chemistry with anyone.

I'm also shocked that Jason Thompson's has not been mentioned. He was somewhat, barely, tolerable on GH, but he's god awful on Y&R. Billy is written as largely unlikable to me, but his dull and lifeless acting only makes things worse. Billy Miller, who I am not the biggest fan of, could act and bring a certain charm to the role at times. Thompson's just..off.

Maurice Benard is GH's worst to me. He has always been horrible and overrated. If the show, which is dying anyway, can lose Geary, they can spare Benard as well. Most of GH's cast is horrible.

    • I see both Lois and BLQs sides re Gio BLQ wanted her son to be happy. Lois wanted to make sure it happened, so she gave him to family. Selfish?  Yes, but I get it Gio was raised by a loving mother and extended family. Lois followed BLQ wishes Great acting by AS & RS

date: Tuesday, May 27 | Christopher Dunn, Lynn Martin | Steven Williford I feel bad for Chelsea; she's exploring her feelings, and they're getting [unintentionally] hurt. But I love the support that Katherine has for her cousin. Bradley, you deserve one hundred times better than Deadbeat. So much more. Anita essentially tossing Tracy out... whew. She's done. DONE. Ouch... Chelsea hit the nerve with Katherine. How interesting... I feel like Tracy is becoming the mirror Anita has been avoiding while being a Dupree. What are these top secret things she's harbouring? I really hope Jessica's interest in Tyrell is genuine, because if it isn't, it might just destroy him. Back alley meetings? Your family? As if Bradley is not part of your family... Deadbeat, sit your ass down. Hey, Childbride, lower your damn voice. You're in the country club, not the country field where your ass belongs. And oh God, she's knocked up. Whew... here we go! Dante Greene, what control did this man have? But I appreciate that Anita and Tracy are uniting together; I pray that Sharon joins them soon. I love how easy Katherine and Tomas are with each other; it's smooth, it's natural and it's blooming in all the right ways. Hayley is about to battle the Dupree women for all she's worth. I am calling it right now. The unwavering support Vernon continues to provide to Anita is paramount; I adore them as the couple they are. Notes: Mike Manning (Bradley) continues to show up time and time again in scenes with Brandon Claybon (Deadbeat), who brings nothing to the table. There is an extreme lack of romantic chemistry between them. I'm wondering how different Dante Greene is going to be in comparison to Berry Gordy Jnr; we know the true history of Diana Ross and the Supremes, but how different will it be with Anita Williams and the Articulettes?
    • This episode is beyond excellent Could have waited on tge Trina Kai scenes  but regardless  great soap
    • Haha same! I didn't like her in the beginning, but over time, I've really grown to love to hate her as a villain.  I can't wait to listen to today's new episode later tonight! I've been waiting for the mom and dad (Crystal/Vincent) to have an interaction, so I'm happy to hear it's today.
    • I've always really been enjoying the show. It's very well produced and has so many soap stars in it. I was just listening to ep 7 on YoutTube and can say I'm hooked. There was an intense scene with Crystal Chappell and Vincent Irizarry about halfway through that was GOOD! Is it bad I kind of like Mina? I know she's supposed to be the main villian
    • This isn't a bad episode, but I'm finding myself not as engaged. Must be the lack of Eva and Leslie. No Nicole, Dani.
    • Yes!! I didn't realize it before, and had a busy weekend, so wasn't here much

Wow, what happened to AMC this week? Crashing from 8.4 to 6.6.. I mean, I know they used to go up and down much more than they do today, but this seems like a harsh drop (from 7th to 13th). And nice to see Y&R's first weeks
    • Why did they cut Chelsea coming out to her grandparents? We should have seen that
