Add Christian McLaughlin to the list of Y&R writers. Former intern at Y&R, B&B writer and co-creator of Spyder Games.

Yes, Wiki is my friend.

Christian was one of Latham's hires!  He co-wrote scripts and breakdowns with Valerie Ahern in 2007 and after writer's strike.  Not that many scripts though

Thanks for that. I saw his name, thought I recognised it (as in I'd seen it somewhere before), did a search and hey presto, regurgitated facts above.

Yeah, this is a very surprising addition.  Never expected.

Actually CM is FB friends with Bibel and Sally. I think his YR history predates Latham.   HIs script was fun.  I think Rebecca Taylor is the next one to go.  I think Sally and Kay or going to think the All My Children writer ranks and give some of the newer blood who invested in the show a break.

Y&R:

- Michael Montgomery first listed as Script Writer on January 24

It looks like Rebecca Taylor McCarty is gone. She hasn't written an episode since January 10.

Sally has her own history with McLaughlin. I believe she wrote a few episodes of his and Ahern's short-lived MTV soap, Spyder Games

Oh right, I forgot the Spyder Games connection.   I have SSM listed as an EP and HW for the show.

McLaughling worked on Y&R before joining Latham's team.

Does anyone have credits for that?  The first time I saw his name on Y&R's credits was on July 27, 2007.

McLaughlin knows SSM from Spyder Games. He was on B&B (!) before Y&R, and did not join Y&R after Tony Morina became a producer on Y&R and LLM  headwriter of Y&R. I think your stats are correct, Toups.

Y&R:

- Lisa Seidman first listed as Breakdown Writer on January 26

Not sure why she gets re hired over and over.  A friend of mine took a screen writing class from her at UCLA; she was good but not great.  I know she's a friend of Tomlin's and I guess Sally too.  She's well connected to the Hollywood writers' scene.

Looks like Jeff Beldner was cut to make room for Seidman at YR writing staff.  He hasn't written an outline in a few weeks.

His name has started appearing again. 2 days in a row this past week I believe.

I also noticed that Sara Bibel's name appeared on the same title card (as it were) as Brent Boyd. This is Monday 13th February. Just under his name. I don't know if it means she just assisted him to do whatever his role is (the name escapes me) for this episode or if she will assume his role going forward.

Remains to be seen.
