Just get rid of Dylan offscreen...he gets in trouble during his undercover work and dies. No need to bring Sharon into it. Its not like Dylan is some big vet here that requires some big story.

I think SOD is trying to stir things up.....but I sadly wouldn't be surprised if the show just prefers and wants to continue the whole Sharon is crazy ordeal....to the point they won't even let Sally try to fix her.....but I'm just gonna wait and see.

I'd prefer a recast but if his death keeps Y&R from going to the Crazy Sharon well once again then go for it.

So it's bad writing for bi-polar Sharon to have an emotional breakdown over the loss of her husband after also losing someone she thought was her child? It's been less than two months and Sharon has been shown more as a mother and sensible person which is all I was looking for. They've already rehabilitated her. It would be out of character for her NOT to lose control. And that has never been the issue with her in my opinion. The problem is that they keep having her do crazy things when something dramatic happens in her life. As long as she doesn't suddenly start sleeping around again or stealing babies I don't see what the problem is...

Folks were panicking on Twitter and I asked them to wait and see because it might not be wacko Sharon but an anguished wife. I hate Sharon but I think folks should wait and see.

So true!! Also Sharon has always been a somewhat emotional character.

I think she was being rehabilitated, but SB's departure (I don't want Dylan re-casted) made it inevitable for her to suffer some kind of guilt/loss and have an emotional breakdown.  Hopefully, she'll emerge as the stronger Sharon that we all want.

GIVE SALLY TIME!!!!!!!!!!

Sure, but hopefully, that promo is not indicative of what's to come. Horrible and embarrassing!

We're allowed to voice an opinion based on a spoiler. I'm willing to wait and see how it plays out but I'm not going to lie that I'm disappointed if they have her go off the rails again just because. She never should have been given a mental illness to begin with. Let's not pretend they treat it with seriousness.

Its also Mal Young who alludes to it in a spoiler article, he ends the article by saying Sharon is gonna lash out, and it will effect her, and could effect Dylan's mission!, we shall see  B)

GIVE SALLY TIME!!!!!!!!!!

Methinks that DeeeDee is throwing subtle shade at the people who have repeatedly been calling for folks to give the show and Sally more time to show improve.

I've sort of been on the fence. I know that SS and KA have a lot of mess to contend with, I also know that there are things they can do with each episode, to not only improve the characters and strengthen plots but to keep the show "moving" as it improves and I feel like she's managing the micro aspects but essentially 'missing the forest for the trees'.

I've been carping about the lack of movement with the Fenmore storyline and was told that Sally probably wanted to stretch things out (I assumed for pacing sake) but that is a concern for the conclusion of the story, not when launching the story and for all the talk of this, the Fenmore story still lacks an inciting event that makes it "feel" as if the story has actually taken flight. Maybe because it feels as if Lauren is a passenger in the vehicle of her own story- she has taken a backseat to Gloria, in some was even Phyllis and it looks like, soon Michael. Perhaps if Lauren were actually driving the story, it might've felt like the story was actually taking off.

I said I would give it until after the New Year, and it's after the New Year. Time for the new regime to get some stories

'moving'.
