Why does this sound like a recast for Nicole?

It could also be a girl to rival Nicole for Zende   O_O

as far as we know she's still with the show. The character is involved in the Caroline/Thomas story. The casting call just sounds like a description for her so speculation is that the actress might be bolting and it hasnt been announced

aww I like Reign Edwards and would hate to lose her in all honesty..........

 

Wow. It does sound like a Nicole recast. I hope not, I love RE. I wouldn't be surprised at all though if the actress decided to leave. She has the potential to go very far.

I hope it's not a Nicole recast either. I really like the actress in the role. 

 

 

This might actually be an "illegitimate"  Avant. After all Julius' right and wrong speeches, I can see them humbling him by giving him skeletons in his closet. It also gives Nicole a rival and the Avants more story to play

 

If they are giving Nicole a rival/sister, why give one that sounds just like her. IMO, that would work if the character description were different to add some contrast between the two

RIght - throwing in the "Midwestern" is the part that leads me to believe it's Nicole and not a rival. (Irony here in that RE was born in Maryland.) Perhaps she only signed a year contract, which is up in three months, so maybe they are just hedging bets.  

According to an update on the WLS blog, the casting description has changed to call for either a Middle Eastern or Latino young woman, same age range as the previous description.

How do you go from black to Middle Eastern, to Latina? Should have just said non-white. With that said, I hope they cast a Middle Eastern woman bc there havent been many in soaps and I dont think ever on this show
