Thoughts!

1) Melanie's goodbye was nice... Isn't it odd that she got more of a goodbye for this 6 month stint than she did when she left in 2012 after 4 years on contract??

2) the elephant broke!!!!!??? What?! I have been paying so little attention to this elephant as it was but was it just me or was the original elephant blue and this one pink? Did the show switch elephants on us! Talk about an evil inside joke if they did!

I've tried to watch. I catch an episode here and there, but there's nothing at all that's making me want to tune in the next day. Nothing. It's a show going through the motions. There's no direction and there's no purpose to any of these people anymore.

I want excitement. I want real cliffhangers. I want storylines to have stakes that I can invest in. I want characters I can care about again. Not a bunch of nobodies sucking up the airtime.

Aiden and Hope are boring. Jenn has no story because she's not attached to Daniel's hip. Daniel's involved in everything. Melanie bobbed her head for six months and inserted herself where she never belonged. Theresa and Nicole are treated like dog [!@#$%^&*] on the bottom of people's shoes. John's an unreasonable grumpy !@#$%^&*]. Maggie's an annoying shrill of a nag. Victor throws out insults but there's no true bite there anymore. Bo, Steve, Jack, Tony and Philip were all discarded like trash while Ben and Clyde add nothing to the canvas. Then there's Carrie, Belle and Shawn WHO? Chloe became a prostitute who then supposedly let Philip raise Daniel's son. Or vice versa. I hope beyond hope her return changes that but I doubt it. Just all awful. I'm so ready for Tomlin to GO.

Should I go on?

[qauote name=KMan101" post="1423999" timestamp="1433366311]Kayla was wonderful today. So involved and she felt like a character again instead of just making a cameo as a doctor. I loved her interaction with Abby and Kate. Her and Kate together gave me life. Loved it. Lauren Koslow looks so damn good and flawless.

Daniel ugh. He's such a tattletale and he's such an annoying bastard. And of course he figures out everything! He HAS to be the one to solve the problem and save the day. Why do they force him so much? They don't need to. It's just so obnoxious. Just like his annoying simpering bobble-head daughter who thankfully is gone. I won't miss Melanie. I never did. I slightly grow to like her right as she's about to leave but they write her terribly otherwise.

Victor/Xander ... zzzzz. I'd care so much more if Xander had an actual connection to Victor that wasn't forced. And he could have. And everytime I see Melissa Archer do great work I just sigh and wish she were Sarah. Xander and Serena were two huge missed opportunities. It's like they know we wanted Alexander and Sarah and gave us knock-offs instead. Still boils my blood, LOL. And could Greg Vaughan have been anymore bored today? LOL

I wasn't feeling Kate Mansi or Abby today like I normally do. Abby just spit it out and tell Kayla you like jumping Chad's bones because he's a hell of a lot more interesting than Ben. Why is Robert Scott Wilson still on the show again? I'd rather nuAMC still be around and he be on that. I don't think he's that horrible anymore and I like the guy but Ben is so boring and so pointless. Billy Flynn on the other hand has turned into a great find and I love his Chad.

Good post. I especially agree with your assessment of Daniel.

    • I see both Lois and BLQs sides re Gio BLQ wanted her son to be happy. Lois wanted to make sure it happened, so she gave him to family. Selfish?  Yes, but I get it Gio was raised by a loving mother and extended family. Lois followed BLQ wishes Great acting by AS & RS

date: Tuesday, May 27 | Christopher Dunn, Lynn Martin | Steven Williford I feel bad for Chelsea; she's exploring her feelings, and they're getting [unintentionally] hurt. But I love the support that Katherine has for her cousin. Bradley, you deserve one hundred times better than Deadbeat. So much more. Anita essentially tossing Tracy out... whew. She's done. DONE. Ouch... Chelsea hit the nerve with Katherine. How interesting... I feel like Tracy is becoming the mirror Anita has been avoiding while being a Dupree. What are these top secret things she's harbouring? I really hope Jessica's interest in Tyrell is genuine, because if it isn't, it might just destroy him. Back alley meetings? Your family? As if Bradley is not part of your family... Deadbeat, sit your ass down. Hey, Childbride, lower your damn voice. You're in the country club, not the country field where your ass belongs. And oh God, she's knocked up. Whew... here we go! Dante Greene, what control did this man have? But I appreciate that Anita and Tracy are uniting together; I pray that Sharon joins them soon. I love how easy Katherine and Tomas are with each other; it's smooth, it's natural and it's blooming in all the right ways. Hayley is about to battle the Dupree women for all she's worth. I am calling it right now. The unwavering support Vernon continues to provide to Anita is paramount; I adore them as the couple they are. Notes: Mike Manning (Bradley) continues to show up time and time again in scenes with Brandon Claybon (Deadbeat), who brings nothing to the table. There is an extreme lack of romantic chemistry between them. I'm wondering how different Dante Greene is going to be in comparison to Berry Gordy Jnr; we know the true history of Diana Ross and the Supremes, but how different will it be with Anita Williams and the Articulettes?
    • This episode is beyond excellent Could have waited on tge Trina Kai scenes  but regardless  great soap
    • Haha same! I didn't like her in the beginning, but over time, I've really grown to love to hate her as a villain.  I can't wait to listen to today's new episode later tonight! I've been waiting for the mom and dad (Crystal/Vincent) to have an interaction, so I'm happy to hear it's today.
    • I've always really been enjoying the show. It's very well produced and has so many soap stars in it. I was just listening to ep 7 on YoutTube and can say I'm hooked. There was an intense scene with Crystal Chappell and Vincent Irizarry about halfway through that was GOOD! Is it bad I kind of like Mina? I know she's supposed to be the main villian
    • This isn't a bad episode, but I'm finding myself not as engaged. Must be the lack of Eva and Leslie. No Nicole, Dani.
    • Yes!! I didn't realize it before, and had a busy weekend, so wasn't here much

Wow, what happened to AMC this week? Crashing from 8.4 to 6.6.. I mean, I know they used to go up and down much more than they do today, but this seems like a harsh drop (from 7th to 13th). And nice to see Y&R's first weeks
    • Why did they cut Chelsea coming out to her grandparents? We should have seen that
