I hate how all the hacks always seem to win over the Y&R cast........you would think that with hearing all the stories about how the AMC cast hated Pratt's writing and some of the GH vets really resented JFP, it would rub off on a drama filled set like Y&R......yet all they do is kiss their asses.....You mean to tell me they think all the stuff going on is better then stuff that LML or MAB wrote cause you know that was one of the rare times any of the cast spoke out about the state of the show....

Hell.....what's even more disgusting is that you have people like Braeden who are only welcoming to this crap cause you know he's gonna get what he wants with Victor always coming out on top.....notice how he probably complained more when you still had Bill Bell people in charge....he still resents the fact that Jack Smith actually dared to make Victor suffer a little.....but despite all the OTT writing now, as long as he gets what he wants....it's ok to him....

Nothing against PB,who I have watched since 1980 on AMC. I know he needs his job, and he does it well, but this storyline is a bust, from the get go. Cady McClain needs to RUN. FOR.THE.HILLS. She's the latest one under the bus, right there next to Sharon...

I can see it now: Patty Williams shows up where Kelly is keeping RealJack...Patty Jane kills Kelly (accidentally) and helps RealJack escape...RealJack returns to GC in time to stop NotJack from murdering Phyllis...RealJack and Phyllis reunite...NotJack and Patty Jane hook up and leave town.

Seriously, why hasn't this show been cancelled already?

Jack and Ashley are still blood related, they just don't share two parents, so it would still be incest if they hooked up... I hope Ashley sees Jack hitting on her and realizes something is up, I also hope we found out that the impostor is the one who screwed Kelly at the Underground...

I realize Bergman can't speak out about the ridiculous plot,although he intimated that it wouldn't be his choice and he probably justifies it by saying he is only responsible for his performance not the storyline.

The misguided belief that Jack and Victor have to be frontburner is partly responsible for this nonsense.I wonder if Bill Bell would have still had them front and center or by now would they have assumed a more supporting role and new younger characters would have taken the spotlight.

Plus Cane/Ethan and Sara/Lauren. Not too mention Philip's bizarre return from the dead. Notice in a several circumstances - it's been a result of bad decisions to get rid of actors/characters and so a reversal. (Cane, John, Will, etc.) The only one of those stories I could accept - Mariah/Cassie. The rest were pretty darned worthless, especially the rock-bottom Phyllis/Shiela, Sara/Lauren. John could've been resurrected without the look-alike easily - witness protection for something he discovered in prison - and everyone would've been happy.

This is what execs think fans want. Flashy, trashy and over the top. They forget we also want good writing to back it up. Things still have to make sense. Movies are the same. People eat up certain popcorn fliks but are they REALLY that good?
