I thought I heard that she had bottom surgery because she was experiencing complications that she thought were attributed to a urinary tract infection.

I don't know why they're upset. The award is being given to her for ratings. Plain and simple.

Yup…I agree…all of sudden Bruce is this big hero/inspiration…aint buying the kool aid.

Anyone that can live with that house full of fame-whores deserves an award...

Caitlin is no saint and deserves no awards, and I hope this does not influence more important things in life like say, reckless homicide.

Living with the Kardashians has made Bruce, now Caitlin, rich. They are about to make more money hand over fist as Caitlin pretends Kris was too heavy handed and insensitive with her. Bitch, please!

The whole thing irritates me. I'm tired of seeing her everywhere. Plenty of TG men and women have already done this and there was no fanfare for them! It's time for a new news cycle and something else to take her airtime. As for those that feel the awards Caitlyn earned as Bruce should be taken back...Grow the f*ck up already. You can't take away forty years of honor just because of a name change. I remember being young in the 70's and being excited when Bruce won. So many athletes followed in those footsteps. The awards were earned no matter what, and shame on anyone who believes otherwise. If they want to take something away from someone let's look at the cheatin' Patriots and Tom's deflated balls...

I hadn't even paid attention to Bruce since the 70s..I never cared or paid attention to the Kardashians…so didnt care he was married to one….

I just wish Caitlin/Bruce would leave the spotlight…all this praise he is getting is ridiculous!!

I'm so over this whole things, it's ridiculous and stupid and for her to be called a "hero" or "Brave" is a joke.

Exactly! Watch our new hero get over on reckless homicide. Folks love forgetting that when their agenda is first and foremost. Anyone champion a criminal who recklessly killed someone to avoid being photographed when they can't seem to stay away from the camera and off our tv screens is insane. Caitlin was fleeing photographers because she wanted her picture taken when it would be most profitable, and that would be when she revealed herself as a woman. Let's keep it real!

It's not exactly a Nobel peace prize. It's an award from ESPN. Anyone who gets an award for being an athlete isn't "brave" or a "hero." It's not designed to change the world. It's a huckster organization from a huckster network.

It's the people who are so outraged by it who keep pushing it on as a news story, because the media loves controversy more than anything.

The only entertaining thing about this is the panderers and bigots who end up eating crow.

It's mostly just subjective. To some people she is a hero, to others she isn't. The hostility and backlash toward Jenner is felt on a much harsher scale by trans people all over the world. She's rich and privileged; they aren't. All I can hope is that people take this as an opportunity to be more compassionate toward those in the world who suffer so much hate and abuse for who they are, and who have nothing to protect them.
