One of my best friends is a trans woman of color. People like her are being murdered left and right. Making it home alive is a legitimate nightly concern for her.

Bruce Jenner doesn't face quite the same challenges, nevertheless, my heart goes out to him for being so very brave to live his truth as such a famous person in such a nasty transphobic world. He is a hero.

i'm eager to see his series. This has to be so difficult. Living in the spotlight since his 20s as a legendary athlete and heartthrob fighting off his true self. When he was younger, Bruce probably didn't know what the hell was going on. Quite the struggle. I can't wait for his interview. I hope Sawyer digs deep, and I hope Bruce shares how he kept this to himself for so long. I'm beyond intrigued.

I think that he was married to Kris Jenner is really leading to a lot of the sensational aspect to this story. Not sure I'd even thought about Bruce Jenner in the last 25 years, but being related to Kris and Kim makes this fodder for the wrong type of media. I remember wondering if it was just tabloid lies when the story first started to leak.

Anyway, I wish him the best of luck and hope he finds happiness. I'm guessing the divorce from Kris was a good first step in that direction.

Did the article say Bruce was driving away from paparazzi when the accident occurred? If so, then the deceased woman's survivors, along with everyone else involved in the collision, might have grounds for a lawsuit against the photographers. Meanwhile, my heart goes out to all parties involved, including Bruce. Such a tragedy.

So, a woman is dead because he didn't want someone to take his picture. You know something, if you want to be anonymous, you can do it easily. Papparazzi can only CHASE you if you RUN. So someone would pull up next to him and snap pictures while he's driving... Guess what Bruce, if they take the pictures and make money from them, the sun will still rise tomorrow. Don't drive recklessley and try to escape from their view, and kill someone in the process. They are carrying cameras, not guns.

    • If NBC could have for seen the ratings of Lovers & Friends (the replacement for Somerset).. they would have for sure kept Somerset on the air longer. https://jason47.com/days/ratings1976.html  (ratings for Somerset in the final year) https://jason47.com/days/ratings1977.html (ratings for Lovers & Friends short run...getting as low as a 2 rating).

    • I liked them, too, and was really disappointed it never went anywhere. The whole art theft story was ridiculous, but they had a nice chemistry. Certainly nicer than Alan with Christine. With her, he looked like the funny uncle. The worst thing they did to Bolger, IMO, was having Phillip write that DREADFUL novel and dramatizing it while he wrote it. GAG, that has to be in the running for one of their worst storylines that didn't involve wacky things like clones or time travel. Soaps rarely do school storylines, or don't do them for very long. Not the case so much in the early days of soaps, but after GH took off in the late 70s other soaps took their lead and would catapult teens/young adults into adult stories right away. That's one reason Phillip and Mindy ended up with so many ex-spouses--they started getting married really young. They shipped Dina and Cameron off really fast after high school and stuck Alan Michael in a marriage storyline with Harley. Did he EVER go to college? I don't think so. It may also partly explain why Quint and Annabelle had to go, beyond TPTB wanting to do a cast sweep. Teaching is not a profession that plays well on a soap. Quint definitely had to quit being Indiana Jones, because that wore thin really fast, but they didn't do him favors by making him a professor. If they wanted to keep him, they should have done what they did with Amanda (who was in another dead-end soap job, concert pianist)--have him work at Spaulding as one of the major stockholders.
    • Judith McConnell (Augusta) and Denise Alexander (Lesley) were great screen partners on GH.  They got into some stellar arguments in character in the medicine room.
    • He also commented that Brad knows that fans are sick of the constant fake deaths on this show: Finn, Sheila, etc and that it's hard to take this seriously if it's another fake death

    • I just don't think Brad Bell has it in him to actually kill off Liam. He should have killed off Eric when he had the chance. I know John McCook is an original cast member, but Eric is even more useless than Liam. Eric should have died and then it would be revealed that he died without a valid will, so Donna, as his wife, inherits everything, including his shares in Forrester Creations.
    • I think we all will, isn't that how soaps work? lol
    • ^^ I'll believe it when it actually happens.
