I wonder if this is just more pandering to the DC brigade. I'm sure they can't wait to talk about the brilliance of this and Y&R's loss is GH's gain, and so on (like they did with Rylan for ten minutes until they forgot she existed).

I spent her entire run at Y&R wishing they had just let Darcy Rose Byrnes grow up on screen, but she was better than Rylan.

I cannot believe someone in charge thought Kaka was important enough to recast. I don't know who this girl is but she's already a vast improvement on looks alone.

She was honest to goodness the worst actress on Y&R ever!......

I too recall all those horrible scenes where all she did was bitch at Kevin Schmidtt's and Vanessa Morano's Noah and Eden.....Was a drama queen when they had half the town dig up all that garbage to help Daniel.....(I totally blocked out why, but Kay Chancellor of all people was digging up trash...)

ABC has confirmed that it will be recasting the contract role of Kiki Jerome on "General Hospital" with "The Young and the Restless" alum Hayley Erin (ex-Abby Newman). She is set to first air sometime in late February. Kristen Alderson, who originated the role, opted to leave when her contract was up earlier this month. She last airs in early February.

I realize that they are lacking females in this age group(early 20s), but Christina Baldwin would have given Lucy/ Scott/????Kevin some extra story. Kaka should have been a casualty of Fluke, the beginning of the end of the Jerromes...Well, at least she doesn't have a face for radio, like her predecessor!

Ron doesn't give two craps about Kevin, Lucy or Scott as he's shown time and again, and I'd rather he not destroy Christina or Serena with his poison pen

Maybe Hayley will give Kiki a new better direction.

I wonder if they'll still bother having Michael and Kiki in much story together since the whole reason they were ever a thing to begin with was just to cater to that real life relationship.

At least we won't have to hear Kiki (and friends!) sing at the Nurse's Ball now.

I just don't get it -- how is Kaka necessary at all? Why was it so important to recast her, and so quickly? What major story is she driving/involved in? What the hell are they thinking? (wondering this for the millionth time).
