Eva LaRue & John Callahan present Best Supporting Actor with nominees Rick Hearst, GH, Roger Howarth, OLTL, Jerry verDorn, GL with Jerry taking the Emmy. Judi Evans Luciano & Tom Eplin presented something NOT A SOAP. Deidre Hall introduced Vicki Lawrence & Darlene Conley presented something NOT A SOAP. Cynthia Watros, Robert Newman & Kim Zimmer presented Best Writing with nominees AMC, GH, OLTL & Y&R with GH getting its first win for Writing with the team of 10 writers all onstage & Claire Labine accepting. (This year was BJ's Heart.) Leeza introduced Linda Ellerbee who presented a topical subject pre-produced segment featuring soaps & talk shows who did stories on Eating Disorders, Addictions, Sexual Harrassment in the Workplace, Domestic Abuse & Battery at Home & Breast Cancer. RKK introduced father & daughter, John & Jennifer Aniston who presented Best Talk Show Host which Oprah won. Paolo Seganti & Martha Byrne presented Best Directing with nominees AMC, AW, ATWT, OLTL & Y&R with AMC winning, its first win in this category with the whole team onstage & Chris Goutman accepting. Leeza introduced one of the pre-produced segments showing off all of the soaps nominated for Best Show, this one, GH. Deidre Hall introduced Frances Reid who presented the special Lifetime Achievement Emmy to Ted & Betty Corday, with their son, Ken, accepting on their behalf. Leeza introduced Linda Dano & Hillary Bailey Smith who presented Best Actor with nominees Justin Deas, GL, David Canary, AMC & Brad Maule, GH, with Deas taking the win but not present. RKK introduced Phil Donahue who presented Best Actress with nominees Marj Dusay, GL, Maeve Kinkead, GL, Susan Lucci, AMC & Erica Slezak, OLTL, with Slezak getting another. Oprah Winfrey presented Best Show with nominees AMC, DAYS, GH & Y&R with GH winning for its 3rd time & the entire group up onstage & EP Wendy Riche accepting, saying, Thank you, members of the academy, for recognizing our hard work. I feel very privileged to accept this very prestigious award on behalf of the cast, crew & staff of General Hospital. It's been a long time coming & everyone here & in Los Angeles is very proud to be honored by you. When so many people come together without ego in collaboration while maintaining their own personal integrity ... Teamwork is not just a word at General Hospital, it's a way of life & I'm very grateful to be working with all these people. Our hosts, Deidre Hall, Leeza Gibbons & Robert Kelker-Kelly wished everyone a good night! -

Uh, yeah, huh?!!! Seriously, that was a brilliant line but its acumen is strictly from how hilarious. We imagine Joss in Carly's kitchen breaking the news that she's realized she's gay & Carly is unconcerned & then drops that it's Emma she's in love with ... time comes to a screeching halt!!! I think Moss would likely be thrown hard against the wall. Can you imagine Carly & Robin as mothers of the brides together? -

@DRW50 Thanks for these. I had a procedure on my eyes and was just okayed for limited screen time the other day, but it is in short periods until Tuesday, when the doctor clears me. I'll be adding in bits here and there, but Hoppers will be "hopping" after that. The shoulders and sleeves are too tight. He'd benefit from a larger size. The yellow arrows show where the shoulder cut should actually be placed in my opinion. I don't mind the granpa fashion per se, I just have an OCD with sizes LOL -

Today May 11, 2025, Pope Leo briefly addressed the crowd in the square. He sang the prayer to Mary and then said: Dear brothers and sisters, The immense tragedy of the Second World War ended eighty years ago, on 8 May, after having claimed sixty million victims. In today’s dramatic scenario of a piecemeal third world war, as Pope Francis stated many times, I too address the world’s leaders, repeating the ever-timely appeal: “Never again war!”. I carry in my heart the sufferings of the beloved Ukrainian people. May everything possible be done to reach an authentic, just and lasting peace, as soon as possible. Let all the prisoners be freed and the children return to their own families. I am deeply saddened by what is happening in the Gaza Strip: may there be an immediate ceasefire! Let humanitarian aid be provided to the stricken civil population, and let all the hostages be freed. But that is pretty much situation normal for all soaps. They do not tend to continue to show things like surgical scars. They also play fast & loose with hospital procedures.
