There is no need to do that. Reserve Sami for AS inevitable return. No "real GreenLee" [!@#$%^&*] pls. What they need is a character to replace the same type and position on the canvas.

Have you seen her lately? I don't agree.

And it's hard to spin off a show that seems so unstable.

AS has already stated that she's coming back for visits, etc. I believe Serena is Sarah - no way she's not Maggie's daughter. I'm surprised they kept this a secret for more than two months. If she debuts Dec. 5 and started filming in June - it fits the five month delay. I do wonder if it would help DAYS to take two- to three-months off and resume the same production schedule so that they have a little more flex to adjust storylines. I'm truly looking forward to MA joining the cast.

If they have any sense she will be Sarah Horton. She was always one of my choices for that role. But this is DAYS, so she's probably Rob Wilson's long-lost sister.

I remember both JackPeyton and I said many months ago that the only adequate way to replace a force like Sami is to split her role into multiple other characters - some more of a spunky ingenue, some more scheming, whatever. Melissa could do one of those very well. She has the same energy as Alison Sweeney in some ways, which is why both of them carried their shows for years (but only Ali Sweeney got the credit for hers).

As for Belle, I think Bree Williamson is just the right age - Martha Madison always looked way too old. But I don't want or need Bree Williamson on DAYS.
