I disagree that Will has never been a character, only a plot point. While I do think that there is MUCH room for the character of Will to be explored and grown deeper - Will has grown, evolved, and deepened as a character since his inception in 1995. At his heart Will is a sensitive and often insecure young man. However, I think Guy Wilson is doing a great job of playing a more mature and confident Will after he has experienced accepting himself, coming out, falling in love, becoming a dad, etc. However, from my point of view Will has always been a "mature" character, even as a kid. He was forced to be the "adult" in his relationships with his parents (Even Sami has acknowledged that) and therefore was forced to grow up very quickly. I do agree though that there is much room to dig deeper into Will's character development. Sorry for the rant - but Will is my favorite DOOL character of all time, so I felt the need to comment. haha smile.png

No problem. I do think there are some characteristics for Will (mostly through his relationship with Sami). It's probably going to be a while before I remember Will as more than the guy who smirked at everyone for 3 years.

Oh dear god. I haven't watched in months and haven't actually seen the Will recast. But that is neither gay couture nor "I'm above gay couture" nor straight nor "I'm straight but I have fashion sense."

That is... I don't even know what that is.

All these comments about Will's fashion sense are interesting, but beside the point. When you notice clothes THIS much, the actor's not doing much with the role.

Guy Wilson is so average that I'm bored even saying it. In addition, it ALWAYS looks like he's acting. Why DAYS rushed to cast him -- as if they couldn 't possible let this one get away -- is beyond me.

Will should have went to jail after Chandler left, for shooting EJ (the show had the perfect opportunity to do this during Sami's trial). I would have loved to see Sonny struggle to move on, find love, and eventually finding a capable actor brought Will back.

Agreed and it could have been an interesting dynamic when he returned given he would have shred a similar experience to Nick. They could have sent Will to jail for months while they recast, while having EJ petition for early parole or a pardon bc Will was underage at the time. That would have totally been believable. Will could possibly come back maybe a bit darker and not Mr. Boring Sunshine

Speaking of outfits, I'm watching Friday's ep right now and Abby's big purple pants are pretty bizarre.

I know he's not some master thespian but Rob Wilson is such a huge improvement as Ben (granted an actual block of wood would've been an improvement over Justin Gaston). But really, Ben is a lot more interesting to me now.

Ugh at the Gabi/Melanie thing not shaking up Sonny and Mr. Rogers at all. I was hoping it would cause some drama for them, but as usual, they're a snooze.

Orange Man can have a seat.

Guy Wilson was totally miscast. His Will is painful to watch. Recasting is a must... do it YESTERDAY! Not 26 months from now.

Will wearing cardigans at this time of year is what gets to me. If it was winter or he was working at a "normal" job, I'd understand it a lot better. Perhaps since Days tapes so far in advance no one was being logical about the costuming.

Actually I think Guy has been great as Will and is actually into his scenes. I loved Chandler but his last six months he phoned in

He was wearing what he wore cause he just went to jail to see Gabi off. Thursday & Friday were the same day in Salem. Tuesday June 17 eppy is a brand new day

I'm confused as to why the flipping cardigan is confusing people. He was dressing up because he was going to court/to see Gabi. Sonny was wearing a suit and tie for God's sake! Will didn't go that formal but he dressed it up. Seriously, though!!! wacko.pngwacko.pngwacko.png

I dont get it either. This week both guys are in tight T shirts. I dont get why gay guys need to all be wearing Tight clothes on TV. They should each have their own style. Not stereotypes

No one is saying anything about tight t shirts but you. People are critical about Will's attire. Big deal. Why should he be off limits? If it's perfectly fine to go in on Jennifer and anyone else on their wardrobe, then I don't see the issue about people commenting on a poor choice they saw Will make

Will was going to the prison & court to see Gabi off. He was dressed up. Not a big deal.

People here were commenting that Days wasnt dressing Will for summer and I was commenting to the fact that he have him in T shirts coming up
