Hope basically has had the same storyline since she' been on for the most part...a triangle...with Hope of the future built in, some family stuff Deacon is my father but Ridge raised me so I'm just as much Forrester as anyone although Ridge is not a Forrester but that's ok too because Eric raised him.

Now Maya is looking like a fool hitting on Rick, Oliver turning on her, I guess her fiancee is going to walk when Caroline tells him what she' been up to. But I agree that it spices up her character even though she didn't get very far..

So does Wyatt their enunciations to and fro drive me to turn the channel

Wow, looks like Quenchie going for Rick is one of those quick 1 week storylines. Its over as soon as it started.

Wonder how long they can avoid Deacon having scenes with Brooke I will roll my eyes if their first interaction is some two sided phone call where KKL and SK don't have to be in the same room

Wednesday:

The stuff with Maya was superb. I've missed social climber characters and that constant need for a better life. Unfortunately, the actress is untalented and BEYOND un-charismatic. It really hurts some interesting scenes that she's being given. All those side looks and such would be gold in the hands of a capable actress. That being said, Rick's shirtless game was ON POINT. Hot damn, that munchkin packs a lot under there.

Liam & Quinn? Ew, I hope it never happens but it's not improbable, especially on this show. But Quinn... how much more badass can you be? "You live by the sword, you die by the sword!" And then she stabs him with it. They've had people getting stabbed with that one too many times but, damn, it's fun.

Thursday:

Quinn "losing" it again. I hope they don't go too far with her and that Deacon pulls her back from the brink. It would be a shame losing Quinn.

Liam came off like the little bitch he is, whining about Quinn stabbing him and her being dangerous. Says a lot when one prefers the psycho over the supposed hero.

Maya had her mouth wide open for some of that Rick juice but he saw her thirstiness and passed.

LOL at Oliver insisting Aly is a model. Nope.

Quinn must be welding some awesomeness.

Interesting. I've sworn off the soaps since OLTL when off the air, but last week I was in Best Buy looking for a new TV and Maya, hmmmm.............. I could not turn away, so I put the show back on my TiVO and I'm actually loving it again and I'm curious to see how far she is going to go.

Oh yeah, Jacob Young.....good Lord that man got hot.

I'm so ready for Brooke and Deacon meeting. By the spoilers I'm expecting it will be next week. We all know the history between the actors - KKL and Sean had an affair in 2002, which nearly destroyed KKL's marriage. The storyline back then was HOT. A part of me wants to see Breacon part 2. And I'm sure they can make it scandalous with Brooke cheating on Bill and his huge ego with Bill's worst enemy. It fits the show's general mood and Brooke's character.

OMG that picture alone makes me... wub.png

Breacon were the hottest thing back in the day, I was such a huge fan of theirs. To be honest I'm glad KKL's ex husband is out of the picture, I can't wait for the two of them to be in the same room together again after what 10+ years!

Ok, I thought Friday's episode was STELLAR.

We had 5 sets of characters (five!) being featured in the same episode. Lots of cool things going on. I loved the build-up to Quinn's attack, her doing her thing in the warehouse and then Liam walking towards the door. Great job! It felt like primetime IMO. I think B&B should package the whole week into a 40 minute episode and air it on weekdays primetime on TVGN or something.

Plus I think major credits go to Sean Kanan - if Deacon is still interesting and viable, it's not because of what's been done to the character (MAB especially shredded him), but there's something about him that just makes him irresistible.

ICAM.

Not a fan of Maya's but I appreciated this attempt to give her some depth. Plus, I also really liked the social climber persepctive as soaps used to have this all the time but have rejected middle class or in general non-billionair (read: poor) people for the last 15 years. Money is never an issue, so this was a nice change of perspective.

Liam & Quinn are sooooo addictive.

Coming from a longtime viewers: The show is doing a lot of stuff right these days. Dare I say it is good!? - even compared to the good old days.

I totally agree! The show is modern and superb. I hadn't felt this way for a daytime show in 15 years I think. Gone are the days where you would have the Steffy-Liam-Hope merry go round / same conversation repeated every day / Hope falling for Wyatt over a stupid diamond... The show is going through a creative renaissance, and it's been going on for a few months now. The show used to have its 'upswings' every now and then, but they would last for a couple weeks tops, and then it was back to the same ole same ole.

I dread the day the show will seamlessly go back to its boring status quo, I can only hope the writers have found the right formula to keep things interesting (maybe Brad is listening more to his consultants etc) and stick to it.

It just occurred to me after reading the posts that social climbing aspect has been lost on the soaps I watch... that was always a soap staple..I remember Erica Kane whole thing was class issue and you don't get the feeling of class as much now as it was in the back in the day; of course with the Homeless storyline but Daisy wasn't a social climber ... Quinn alludes to it she is a climber of sorts, "we had to work hard to get what we've go.t" There were always different statuses in life eg OLTL in the days of Clara Grey.
