Viola is everything!

When she told Wes "Don't you leave this house", I almost cried. Annalise falls apart and pulls it back together w/in a matter of seconds and Viola does it effortlessly! Clearly THE best actress on television and we are only left to determine who gets Supporting Actress in a Drama series.

Why do people care about this? Honest question - I see that brought up a lot. I don't have a dog in that fight about network vs. cable standards. From an adult viewer's perspective, it's all just TV to me, and the rest is up to the network censors and bean counters to care about. I'd love to see network television push the envelope a lot more when it comes to sex in the same way that foreign TV does; how many times are we subjected to gruesome murders and bloody surgical scenes on shows like CSI or Grey's Anatomy?

"How to Get Away With Murder" (8.5 million, 5.9/10)

Demo…2.7

The show is tanking quickly in ratings…..2.5 Men beat it in HH with a 6.9 and tied it in demos with a 2.7

TBBT 4.1 Mom 2.7 2.5M 2.7 McCarthys 1.9….CBS

Scandal had a 3.0 Demo…..

Was hoping for better numbers from the McCarthys…..oh well...

Not sure what the hell this was, but whatever.

I agree. I'm personally more freaked out over Derek Shepperd taking out half a brain on television, Moreover, I don't consider Conner's sex scenes any more overt than any of the others on television. Again it's not Queer As Folk.

Looking at the demo it's holding steady with Two and a Half Men and Mom (which were both premieres). It's not killing it like The Big Bang Theory and Scandal are, but I wouldn't say tied for third is a horrible position to be in. If it slides down to the 1.9's and lower than I say we have a bit of a problem. Right now it's keeping well with the other shows.

10 PM is a difficult slot.

McGory is cute and it's nice to see a show willing to exploit a man's body that way (and also to know that some guys look better with their clothes on), but those trousers are not flattering. He must not be close to the wardrobe people.

Finally, an episode where the highlighted character is actually developed.. especially one that has gotten less focus. Not only did it shed more light on Asher, but default.. we got some focus on Paris Gellar.. oops I mean Bonnie's character as well as Laurel/Frank's character.

I actually think Wes is miscast and having him be the focus is what is preventing this show from being great. Unlike Olivia Pope, Annalise has moments of weakness but gets down to business right away.

I disagree with pretty much all of this. We knew Asher was a Daddy's boy from the get go. What did we learn about Paris that we didn't know beforehand? That she likes to bang the interns too? Laurel/Frank is more of the same -- that we got from previous episodes. She shouldn't be sleeping with any of them. Olivia is more capable then Annalise to be honest.

The problem is that its dropping every week after its high premiere…..thats not good at all. The ratings haven't leveled off…they keep declining every week.

    • I absolutely loved the last few episodes—devoured them! If Trisha and Ambyr’s performances aren’t Emmy-worthy, I don’t know what is. I wasn’t bothered by the lawyer girl not being at the gala from the start, or the grandkids being absent, or Vanessa being MIA. It just goes to show how unnecessarily huge the Dupree family is. And like Toups said, you can’t cram the entire cast into a single episode. Oh and the cue when Leslie was having that fantasy was epic, very DAYS-like. They should keep it and develop it   Minor nitpicks: Yeah, Ted seriously needs a recast—been saying that since day one. I still don’t know where he stands, and he just comes off as a generic nice guy. Not having Ted and Bill share a single scene since the show started? Huge missed opportunity. And not having Leslie get anywhere near Bill in one of her wigs? Another big miss. It really weakened the impact of her big reveal about Bill’s involvement. Now it just feels a bit like fan fiction. I’m totally confused by Vanessa and Doug’s “arrangement.” One moment it seems like they’re in an open relationship, and the next Vanessa acts completely shocked when Doug so much as hints at her “distractions.” Huh? Can anyone explain what’s going on there?
    • You’d think he would’ve learned after the way Sprina took off.  I hope we get a proper Emma/Gio/Trina/Kai quad, as friends, romantic rivals, etc. In the few scenes that the four of them have had together, I felt like there was a natural chemistry between all of them, similar to the way that Cam/Spencer/Trina/Joss was, in the beginning.  And, it would be a lot better than all this stuff with Kai’s surgery.
    • Hooray we made the exact same critique to Londonscribe!!!!!
    • I don't think they had any idea who he was this time last year. I think they were keeping their options very open. Same with totally dropping the Trina romance that was spoiled for him in the mags once FV clearly took a shine to him. Frank's priorities are bright and blazing in one color. I do think Gio and Emma seem to have worked out given that she is very dry and sarcastic and he is like a hot golden retriever, but I'd still play the field or explore quads with both with very different people - Emma with a scheming young man (of color), Gio with possibly Trina or someone else, or even a boy. Then maybe put them back together, who knows. But of course none that will happen.

    • He definitely got lost in the shuffle last year. First, they were implying that he was Drew’s son, then he was nothing more than just Violet’s bff

And then they changed him to being Dante and Brook Lynn’s son, which was clunky at first but I’m enjoying the storyline now.
    • GM is adorable, charming and fun onscreen despite months of nothing to do until recently, and has a bodacious bod. I'm not cosigning the show or this story - I haven't watched a full episode in over a month - but I think we're all taking the small victories in 2025 at this point. I'm open to testing this theory!
