Wes, Laurel & Connor are my absolute favorites. I hope he's saying what I think he's saying because I want to see Michaela's reaction to THAT!

The court room scenes are becoming the most boring thing about the show at this point.

The male lead of this show is annoying me with how stupid he is, or maybe it's just the way the actor is playing him. His gullibility makes me want to push him off a cliff. "You're calling Lila's phone?" I mean really, did we really need to know that? Or is he just inanely stupid.

Annalise, says the same thing each episode. This is the time where you prove your worth.

Micheala Pratt, is becoming my favorite of the bunch.

The naive guy who apparently was in Harry Potter is quickly becoming the weak link which is sad cuz as a person of color I was hoping he'd stand out and be the one to root for. instead he comes across as very weak and dumb. His voice is very childish and I just can't take him seriously.

That aside the cast is really really good. And the dynamics at play between the 5 of them working for Annalise is really starting to get good. I didn't like how the gay guy took pleasure if making Michaela suffer over her fiance...that was a low blow. But the guy does it so good.

Frank developing a little crush I did not see coming. And the way the case this week just stalled was sort of weird.

Oh snap! I didn't see that coming but I ain't mad at it. Shaw was hot. But she foul for leaving her kids. I hope she gets hers... I need this to pop back up. I'd drop the case personally but that's just me.

I loved her line to Michaela... it is so true but it could be said to and about anyone. I need these people to get flashlights in the near future.

Annalise should not be trusting that cop, I'd pick one of those kids before I'd go to him. She humiliated that man on the stand and she thinks he's going to help her all willy nilly?

Connor was so swole that he loss his prize. I like Laurel, a lot... I was so indifferent to her before the show but I really like that character.

Oh hey, another Orange Is The New Black actor... Ms. Alysia Reiner at the end of last night's episode plays(ed) Fig.

Did you see his other pics SS? He posted like a crap ton right before S2 of OITNB. He used to be like a trainer or something dealing with weights. It just looks so off when you see his head/body ... but he built. Mama like.

I think the case of the week should be done away with.. perhaps make the case span a couple of episodes instead of one episode.. have multiple cases that start, climax, and resolve at different speeds. We could get to know the five players, two law associates, plus Annalise better this way.

I had high hopes Annalise would be a ball buster.. but the way she acted all weepy with copy man in episode 2 reminded me of Olivia Pope... ugh.

I found it believable but they played it too straight. They should have played this out a bit longer, had him drop hints maybe about him knowing something she didn't and have her slowly unravel on what his secret could of been, maybe even start a triangle. But at the same time I am glad it was a non-event because the boyfriend is a dead end actor, who is the least interesting of the three of them and Scandal doesn't need to start up this C story anyway.

I did find him kind of mean spirited, but it was also written oddly. It seemed like the guy wanted to bond with her over the fact that they banged the same guy, mean while Micheala was having this crisis of faith over her boyfriend. Just really weird cross purposes there.

I agree with them needing to do arcs, instead of the procedural case of the week. I don't care about them and it's becoming formulaic. As to Annalise's character I like that they are making her multi-dimensional and giving her vulnerability underneath the tough demeanor. I think Viola Davis excels at that kind of vulnerability which is why she was given that Academy nomination for The Help, and given that killer scene at the end of the film. But I do question her frame of mind, she strikes me as being a character that is very grounded but at the same time about to collapse underneath all of the weight and pressure. She's had three or four exchanges already where she's about to crumble over various men in her life. Be it her husband, her student and her boyfriend. Why are these men so important to her, and why do they effect her so? For this reason I actually think Olivia Pope is a more stable and healthier character of the two of them. I have no doubt that Olivia would shut everything down in the White House and then have a nice date night with her chosen man, Annalise feels like she's about five or six steps away from a breakdown, given the wrong day.

I want to support Shonda as a producer, but this show is already a frantic, hideous mess and has lost my attention. The acting is poor, especially from Harry Potter kid. At least Scandal has a handful of fantastic actors (Bellamy Young, Jeff Perry, Darby Stanchfield, Kerry when she applies herself) to make up for the often weak, repetitious, and contrived writing. HTGAWM has Viola, and forgive me, but she seems uncomfortable in this role. This is an Angela Bassett role, in my opinion.

Need to catch up on Parenthood.

    • One little... very little... tiny... minuscule negative comment. I was debating if I should care to say it... In some ways... Silk has been acting clownish... I think they need to dial it back, because if this continues with the current pace... she'll be worse than Sheila in terms of getting totally predictable and not menacing anymore. TMG is one hell of an actress... I just want to see a more normal and less clownish Silkpress in the coming weeks*months. We need to dial down the wigs too. It's becoming a funny caricature and we don't want that. Maybe we do, I'm not sure. I just like her more menacing and sinister than... "Hahhahahah what is she wearing today". That's a personal preference.   So far... I am okay with it... but I have fears this may turn into a really tired joke in the future. I want TMG as long as possible on my screen!
    • Not really short-lived as GH went to color in 1967, so the blue background actually lasted about twice as long as the black background. You can see it at the very beginning of this set of clips from 1974:

Also would like to put it out there in the universe, as I often do, that the wait for any AMC from 1972-1976 has been too damn long. At this point, it is the only long-running soap (10+ years) that has absolutely zero video clips from that time period online. We have either whole episodes or clips from every year of the show's run except those five, which happen to be the exact years when one of my favorite characters I've never actually seen, Margo Flax, was a major player. Justice for Margo, please.
    • Both EE and Corrie remind me of RC's OLTL, where maybe, just maybe, if we keep bringing up the past in cheesy, forced ways, the audience will transfer their positive memories of better days onto what we're giving them now. I used to love that kind of crap, but it became so constant and transparent with OLTL, not to mention obnoxious as hell. Like when they had KDP singing the Peabo Bryson theme over the opening sequence for an episode or two. I've been reading little blurbs about Sonia's exit, and they all mention trumpets as if the she had grown up and became a trumpet virtuoso. It's too sitcommy to me, just like Bianca being damn near 50 and still wearing the jacket and hoops. But then they like to introduce new young female characters and put them in a metallic jacket and hoops so that the audience will like them right away. Things just hit better when it's more of an "If you know, you know," type of thing. Like Max watching Stacey's plane leave in 2010 as Stacey gazes down at the Thames in reference to the opening sequence...just like when Phil watched Kathy's plane leave in 1998 as Kathy gazed down at the Thames in reference to the opening sequence. It's like the more "iconic" the original scene is, the less effective the later allusion to it is. B&B and Y&R recreating their first scenes were perfect because we don't get hit over the head with how incredibly iconic those scenes were to begin with.
    • Ted has been too-good-to-be-true-on-the-surface guy from the get go. It's always these guys that end up having a secret mistress with 2 children on the side or are secretly bisexual and sleeping with men while they wifey thinks she is living the dream. Even the way Dani was talking about them in the beginning... I knew it was coming. The show was hinting at it. And it came.  I have nothing against the show writing a second affair, when it's used to present this exact type of message. That the two sisters end up dealing with a similar catastrophe. I would have had problems with it... if it was not written the way it is. But I have no problems with it right now. And I love how the focus is not just on the affair, but on Ted's overall character. His dark side. And, no, you don't need to be a serial killer or a lunatic with a knife to be a bad guy. Sometimes just making bad decisions that end up hurting your entire family makes you that.
    • Oh, really? I didn't see that at all. Ted's only been loving and supportive, even with this reveal I still haven't seen anything too dark from him. Shitty father and husband, sure. My one nitpick is that they could have accomplished that without having another affair though.
    • Remember post-ATWT how Brooke Alexander was in eight million commercials and home improvement shows?  She was the epitome of a millennial consumer surrogate. Meanwhile, Kelly Menighan worked the heck out of the short hairdo for years, and never got a beauty contract.  TBH, her whole vibe gave Midwest suburbs, as interpreted through the eyes of a Manhattan costume department with a network budget for designer goods. She was definitely sophisticated given her limited access to shopping at Lisa's Boutique in Oakdale.

    • Absolutely agree. Nicole's reaction to Ted, and Kat's reaction to Eva, will be interesting.
    • One tiny problem. Apparently she just inked a new deal. All it means, though, is that they will want to get some mileage out of her before they implement the DRW50 Master Plan. What do ya think? 6 months too short? 3 years def too long. A year and a half?
