May 4, 201411 yr Member lol, I knew it. He was basically only staying around because he loved working with Alison Sweeney. I'm pretty sure he wanted to leave back when he was paired with Arianne Zucker, and then the show convinced him to stay with the Taylor SL, and when that went BUST they began writing more Sami/EJ story. i wonder if this means Sunset Ending? Then its good he's gone because TIIC broke many hearts when they separated EJ/Nicole and killed her child. If he can't work or does not wish to work in the story planned, its best to let him go. You don't screw over fans because 2 people like working together. That's insane! I don't see where EJ/Sami has really done anything for the show. Time for Will's other parent to get some airtime and a story with his son. And it's really time to bring home Carrie, and if the audience is Lucky, she has just buried Austin. And if they think of putting her with that no talent Gering, I'd storm the studio!
May 4, 201411 yr Member I am shocked. Eli is reprehensible but kind of necessary at the same time. James Scott is very charismatic as EJ, just like how Matt Walton was as OLTL's evil Eli. But I think his exit is much needed. I agree Gering sucks. He was overhyped on Passions. People never noticed his weaknesses until he came on DAYS. I like Christie Clark but Carrie mostly just bored and irritated me. People always saying she was the saintly sister (compared to Sami, yes she was, but the propping became too much). Still wish they could find a way to bring Anna Dimera back. Loved Leanne Hunley in the role!
May 4, 201411 yr Member This isn't a loss for the show, EJ was going to be rudderless without Sami, so this makes sense and it sounds like James Scott was over acting in LA. I wouldn't be surprised to see him move back to England or somewhere like Australia or New Zealand. The Alamains are a viable villain family, particularly if they could convince Louise Sorel to return, though I doubt she'd go for it, she was pretty burned the last time DAYS canned her in favour of that disastrous reboot crap.
May 5, 201411 yr Member It's good he decided to leave if he just waeted to work with Alison Sweeney because he would be accused of phoning in his scenes with any other romantic partner (see Jason Thompson GH).

How so? Are you saying EJ would not work as a character w/out Sami or that James would not put up the effort w/out AS?

James Scott fakes his scenes with his romantic partner, Jason Thompson? lol (sorry, couldn't resist)

And the show just does not need the people who are picking and choosing who they wish to work with. Soaps used to be better than this. It's really disturbing to hear this so much. You go where the writer takes the character!
May 5, 201411 yr Member James Scott fakes his scenes with his romantic partner, Jason Thompson? lol (sorry, couldn't resist) I wouldn't blame him. If I were James Scott, I'd fake it with JT as well.

May 5, 201411 yr Member That is one of the worst tats I've ever seen. JT really needs to consider having that thing removed! It MUST have been the result of some really strong... pharmaceuticals.
May 5, 201411 yr Member Yeah, as far as "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" hollabacks go, that tat's pretty ratchet.
May 5, 201411 yr Member This breaks my heart!!! It's so rare to actually watch a TV child grow up ON SCREEN and played by the same actor (or set of twins) for the duration. Days has really done a good job in the last 5-10 years of keeping their child actors in place and it shows by how amazing the kid cast is. (Ciara, Theo, Johnny, and I think even Allie have all been the same actors since at least 2009-10ish). It is so much better to have that consistency than when we had a recast Abby Deveraux every 2 years back in the early 2000s. SORASED and then de-SORASED and back and forth. I wonder if they knew James and Ali were both leaving when they Sydney recast was decided. Even thought the current Sydney girls struggle in their scenes, they are on so little that if they did know about James and Ali at the time of recast it would seem to me like "what's the point?" I think the casting call for Sydney went out before they knew James and Alison were leaving. Jane Kunitz @JaneKunitz Thanks for an amazing run...best TV dad ever @IamJamesScott
