Cartini saved the soap industry; they are brilliant and everything they do is head and shoulders above the other three soaps, even though they have made some big mistakes. Stop watching if you don't like it. Then the ratings will go down and they will be replaced and we can see who swoops in and does a better job

Oh, honey, sit down. You show up once in a blue moon to drop your weird brand of "wisdom" on us but if you knew anything about this business, you'd know that while they and other external factors certainly got GH a reprieve, they have hardly saved this industry, which needs a lot of help.

And no, you're not "just trying to be soapy" or campy or whatever bizarre [!@#$%^&*] you said last time you did this - and who tries hard to "be soapy" while posting on a [!@#$%^&*] message board? Just be yourself.

Calm down and let people have their own opinions. Stop pretending you're the oracle just because you can read the credit roll at the beginning and end of each episode of a soap opera. The Directors & Writers thread don't make you a network exec.

Oh vee-gina...I was watching soaps when you were butt a dingleberry in the firmament. Scott Sickles wrote that line, really....he did

I cut my teeth on Henry Slesar, Harding Lemay, Doug Marland, Nancy Curlee...Cartini isn't of their calibur but no one in the industry is at this point; corporate has flushed most creative artists out of the industry....but Cartini team loves the genre and has made many great attempts to bring today's tv audience back to soaps. I have hated some of what they've done but i never fall asleep during an episode like i do with the other three.

That's wonderful. So have a lot of people your age and up on this board. What does any of that have to do with what I wrote?

Let people have their opinions about the show, or don't and stick to reading the tea leaves of the opening credits. Up to you.

I swear I read that sentence too fast the first time and thought it said that Luke wanting to carry his own embryo was genius. But what really got me were two things: 1) I could totally see Ron trying that; and 2) it's scary how "in-character" that would be for Luke to demand carrying his own child under any circumstances.

Frank and Ron haven't saved a damn thing. Soaps are still facing the firing squad. The only thing that's changed with Frank and Ron is that now everyone's wearing cheap wigs, false eyelashes, feathered boas and sequined thongs.

The police commissioner is out on an embryo run? What?!

Then she has a DNA test done on it, which I didn't know what possible or should be done, yet not one person has tested FrankenTodd or Kaka after 2 paternity reveals each? Again, what?

Lawd!

Yeah, but remember when Jessica lost part of her memory on OLTL and thought she was 17? She acted very different than Erin Torpey's Jessica did when she was that age and a major younger character on the show. Ron and Frank will make historical adjustments if they feel it benefits the story they want to tell.
