You mean, Ali made her wear those psychedelic lululemons?

Great.

One mystery solved.

Now, who the !@#$%^&*] gunned down a Horton?

Ali shot Nick. That's why they didn't show the hand of the gunman and there was no way most of the other suspects did it; they showed everyone almost right after the shooting. The whole thing was poorly done, other than acting by Blake and Susan. The rest was dumb. Will steals a gun, EJ hires a hit man...lazy writing

Thoughts on the week:

1) You know Days isn't horrible right now - it just isn't great either. We're just not firing on all fours the way we were most of last year. It's May, the spring is nearly behind us.. it's May sweeps and its time to get things rolling! I know the "who killed Nick?" storyline is supposed to be our big May sweeps.. but I'm more depressed about Blake not being on the show and honestly, I don't really care who killed Nick! I'm just sad that he's gone.

2) Having said that - SSH gave some great acting this week in the town square and her screams. As she did in the morgue (I couldn't really tell where it was at.. I think it may have even been in a hospital room) where she, Maggie, Hope, and Gabi all gave great emotional performances in saying goodbye to Nick. I also appreciated the Nick/Gabi montage they did. We don't see montages as often as we used to - but this one was well done and I felt like it was fitting.

3) Kate's reaction was amazingly spot on when she told Maggie that Nick was dead. Just as if she were reading the Sunday morning newspaper. Love Lauren Koslow!

4) So we finally got to meet the recast Sydney (if you blinked you may have missed it) - she seemed to be able to sit still better than the other one. If those in charge knew of James & Ali's departure at this time in production then I don't see the point in recasting Sydney (even if the other one wasn't that great) but otherwise it's just eh... she'll be gone when James and Ali are by year's end.

5) I loved seeing Marlena this week! Great interaction with Marlena/Hope, Marlena/ Sami/Allie, Marlena/Will. I love how Marlena is always there for her family - Will, Sami, Allie, Eric. Deidre plays the loving mom/grandma so well.

6) Speaking of other characters who were on a lot this week... was Daniel on all 5 days this week!? TPTB - let's PLEASE fix this!

Otherwise, a pretty blah week. Let's move along this "Who shot Nick?' story (I think we all have a pretty good idea who it is with our upcoming departures, etc)... and then lets please move into EJ/Sami's wedding/ a real reveal !

    • Pardon me? What exactly is harsh? I think I'm allowed to say my honest natural reaction to these stupid songs.  Jesus...

date: Monday, May 19 | Ron Carlivati, Danielle Paige | Shelley Curtis Dani and Pamela are a hoot together at the casino; they're really giving me "go girl, get yours" vibes! Katherine is totally on the warpath and is pushing every single male away. Dana is single-handedly selling her daughter out, with the unknown help of Katherine's secret recording. I like seeing both Andre and Ted giving Eva the kind of family she never had with Dana. Oh, is Dani catching onto things where Douglas is concerned? Interesting. Derek is a moron, and Ashley continues to give me a "type A" personality, with a lot of anal retentiveness/OCD. And ew, he's a trash eater. So gross. Oh, Diego, go get it! Why do I feel like Pamela vs. Vanessa is about to become a thing! But get IT, Pamela! Get IT! Not Dana thinking she knows the law when Jacob checked her immediately. Tomas is a smooth talker, and I love it. Hell, even I would fall for him easily. So, Tomas went into the Navy to put himself through law school. Quite interesting. What a nice backstory. The sexual innuendo between Joey and Vanessa while Douglas is listening on is hilarious. It's very obvious Pamela and Vanessa are not friends at all, and that's something I'd love to see play out at some point. Yes, Derek, she wants your ass out. I want your ass out. I'd be throwing you, your ugly-ass named chair and everything else OUT of MY apartment! So, Vanessa let the cat out of the bag. That's interesting timing, but Douglas is still lying to her. Notes: Again, both Jon Lindstrom (Joey) and Cady McClain (Pamela) are in scenes together yet did not directly interact. Kudos to them for showing up and putting the professional work in.
    • I don't understand Cady either. I was looking forward to seeing her on this show, but unfortunately not the way she's currently playing Pamela. It seems cartoonish. Something this show doesn't need if it wants to be taken seriously. Why are they letting her do that?  I liked Vanessa initially, but they need to tone her down. Her hooking up and role playing with so many people is a turn off for her character for me. The Diego angle was fun. Should have left it at that. But all the others makes me have less sympathy for her.  If they are going to tinker with the cast (Ted), please consider Tomas and Derek. For me they are the two that pull the show down for me. A hot Eva/Tomas/Kat triangle could work with the right actor. I think Jen Jacobs might be better if she had a better storyline. I'd give her some time and thankfully Martin has improved.  Uh-oh Jacob!! Mama better not mess with you!
    • The accent is horrible. Today's episode is dry.  I feel bad for Derek. Homie said his breathing bothers her lol.

    • I realize that Eurovision can be an acquired taste, but "disgusted" sounds a little harsh?

    • Cady is making some weird acting choices as Pamela
    • Jacob ain't playing no games with Dana. They could've played mother and son.
