Glad they are not pursuing the cult S/L, I find most shows create scenarios that are really trite, drag on and, frankly, you have to dumb down a lot of characters to make it work. I do like the idea of revisiting what happened to Nikki and Paul and why they end up there, etc. What kind of vulnerabilities Nikki or Paul may have as a result of being in the cult and the Dylan thing. That's all RW, who is not going to be a longterm player, is needed to do. He is a great actor and is able to bring that creepiness, but charisma that can make this plausible.

They need to do a Jill vs. Kelly.....I'm not sure if it's gonna go down that way, but it's a shame that CW is leaving, but maybe CM will surprise.....

I loved how Jack named almost all of Jill's surnames......someone in the writing room at least has a little respect for the past.....

Watching those scenes between Jack, Jill and Kelly made me think what a shame it is that CW is leaving when the character has truly begun to hit her stride. And I could definitely get used to Jill and Kelly trading wits and barbs. Too bad that possibility is not long for the show.

I like CM but I see her portrayal as being more arch and icy. I could be wrong though. I'm hoping for a good mix.

There is so much potential to a Jill vs Kelly, if they play the beats and remember Jill's history of meddling with her son's love lives with Nina and Mac.......It's not very promising as it seems like they don't wanna do long term storylines, but i'm gonna just wait and see what unfolds.....

If I was writing the show I would have eventually thrown in a Jill/Stitch affair just to piss off Kelly even more.......I just think it would make perfect since for cougar Jill to seduce the much younger and handsome Stitch......it wouldn't be out of character at all....

Cady McClain can breathe new life into Kelly. I wasn't that impressed Cynthia in this role. I don't why but something didn't click with her in this role. Cady has already proven she can play a character so polar opposite of Dixie as she did on ATwt. Interesting cady has two Emmys one for Dixie and one for Rosanna

Wasn't Chloe responsible for Chelsea designing in the first place? She used her money to help Chelsea in the first place didn't she? I hope Chelsea loses everything . She knows how much Chloe has lost and now she's taking her work away from her. Like Russell used to say on Fat Albert, "NC...NO CLASS"

    • If NBC could have for seen the ratings of Lovers & Friends (the replacement for Somerset).. they would have for sure kept Somerset on the air longer. https://jason47.com/days/ratings1976.html  (ratings for Somerset in the final year) https://jason47.com/days/ratings1977.html (ratings for Lovers & Friends short run...getting as low as a 2 rating).

    • I liked them, too, and was really disappointed it never went anywhere. The whole art theft story was ridiculous, but they had a nice chemistry. Certainly nicer than Alan with Christine. With her, he looked like the funny uncle. The worst thing they did to Bolger, IMO, was having Phillip write that DREADFUL novel and dramatizing it while he wrote it. GAG, that has to be in the running for one of their worst storylines that didn't involve wacky things like clones or time travel. Soaps rarely do school storylines, or don't do them for very long. Not the case so much in the early days of soaps, but after GH took off in the late 70s other soaps took their lead and would catapult teens/young adults into adult stories right away. That's one reason Phillip and Mindy ended up with so many ex-spouses--they started getting married really young. They shipped Dina and Cameron off really fast after high school and stuck Alan Michael in a marriage storyline with Harley. Did he EVER go to college? I don't think so. It may also partly explain why Quint and Annabelle had to go, beyond TPTB wanting to do a cast sweep. Teaching is not a profession that plays well on a soap. Quint definitely had to quit being Indiana Jones, because that wore thin really fast, but they didn't do him favors by making him a professor. If they wanted to keep him, they should have done what they did with Amanda (who was in another dead-end soap job, concert pianist)--have him work at Spaulding as one of the major stockholders.
    • Judith McConnell (Augusta) and Denise Alexander (Lesley) were great screen partners on GH.  They got into some stellar arguments in character in the medicine room.
    • He also commented that Brad knows that fans are sick of the constant fake deaths on this show: Finn, Sheila, etc and that it's hard to take this seriously if it's another fake death

    • I just don't think Brad Bell has it in him to actually kill off Liam. He should have killed off Eric when he had the chance. I know John McCook is an original cast member, but Eric is even more useless than Liam. Eric should have died and then it would be revealed that he died without a valid will, so Donna, as his wife, inherits everything, including his shares in Forrester Creations.
    • I think we all will, isn't that how soaps work? lol
    • ^^ I'll believe it when it actually happens.
