It would have to be a very different version of the Dillon character for me not to be grossed out. But I'd take it over this.

Michael is a brilliant idea someone had elsewhere. I think it's genius. But instead we have Detective Rockpunch.

I don't know if this was March or April, but I finally watched some of the All Carly episode. Other than being too tan (unless it was my TV), I thought SJB was good. I was surprised at how much chemistry she had with Maurice in the new scenes, because Tamara is always the one remembered for chemistry with Maurice, and because I haven't seen Maurice have much chemistry with anyone in a long time.

I was reminded again that Sonny looked better when his hair wasn't slicked back. The dead baby flashback surprised me as I didn't think Maurice looked very good even by then (2000) but he looked a whole lot better in the scene with the messy hair.

The scene with all the body double Qs leaving with AJ and Emily wasn't bad (aside from the lighting and the loud music) but that body double for poor Stuart Damon was almost as wrong as Lila's wig.

I agree. It would probably never fly because of Georgie but I do think they could be interesting at least with a completely different and obviously recast Dillon. There's really no reason one of these unnecessary newbies couldn't have just been a recast of Dillon.

I really like the Michael idea. It's a great one.

It really doesn't matter, IMO. If anything, the slight age issue makes Maxie grow because she'd have to suddenly deal with being the 'mature' one 'robbing the cradle,' especially if they had a Knocked Up-esque hook-up one drunken night at the Nurses Ball or a gala or something and they both woke up mortified for entirely different reasons. You could do all sorts of ELQ shenanigans, a la Lucy back in the day. That's an angle we have never seen on her character - grappling with being an actual adult and the 'older woman'. Her baby certainly didn't get her there.

Vee, you were spot on about Ron a few pages back. Spot on.

I think people only want Maxie and Woodpile because they think she'll suddenly make him interesting or a better actor. Um, no. And I see zero chemistry. He looks like he just saw his sister come out of the bedroom.

And I just realized ... was Maxie even mentioned at all while she was gone? It's like these characters don't exist if they aren't on-screen. I'm shocked he gave her a love interest. Which means he HAS to be related to someone.

I always felt that Maxie's best pairing to date was 3M (maxie and cooper). Theyre on my top 5 favorite couples of all time but i admit that Jason Gerhart wasnt the greatest thespian in the whole lot but he brought a little something that could have made Cooper far more than what he was.

I wish the show would go with a Maxie/Ric pairing i think they would be perfect and it would be something new for both of them.

Am I reading this right? Nina now has a mother and brother on the canvas AND a baby? Nina? A character with absolutely no ties to GH who has never been seen and literally only exists, not in flashbacks, but in oral histories told by a bunch of newbie/temporary characters (one of whom is played by the legendary Donna Mills) like some kind of urban legend or folktale (Nina = chupacabra) and yet somehow this character is driving frontburner story?

Am I understanding this correctly?

    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
    • Agreed. The Emmys next year are gonna be a pretty tough competition and I hope we get a Days sweep lol  Not only does Deidre deserve a nomination for these last few weeks, but I also think Paul Telfer, Raven Bowens, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel and Alison Sweeney have good chances as well.
    • It’s not about a lack of faith and trust in MVJ, it’s about a a lack of faith and trust in Ron Carlivati, who I think can be very sneaky and manipulative when he wants to be.  And, all that “He’s just a breakdown writer” talk never changed my mind about anything, because at Days, it was “just a breakdown writer” that gave us some of the worst episodes I’ve ever seen.
