No. ABC responded to the motions Prospect Park filed in court. Prospect Park amended the lawsuit in November to ask for "a declaration that Prospect Park's continued payment of the licensing fees under the Agreement is excused; that Prospect Park is entitled to an extension of the License Agreement; and that the term of the License Agreement is tolled, from the time of ABC's breach until the breach is fully remedied." ABC has asked the court to remove that request, saying that Prospect Park is basically asking the court to rewrite the contract they had with ABC.

All of these are pre-trial motions, by the way. Nothing about this suit is settled at this point. Prospect Park can file a response with the court to ABC's demand to strike the license extension from the suit. Pre-trial motions could continue for some time. Behind the scenes, I have no doubt that attorneys for both sides are discussing possible settlements. I haven't followed the case with tremendous scrutiny, so I don't know if there's even a court date at this point.

If there is no settlement before going to court, then the judge will rule on all pre-trial motions, and they'll proceed from there.

Seriously. If by some miracle, Prospect Park does get All My Children and One Life to Live back online, don't even tell us about it a year before-hand or even a month before-hand ... don't tell the soap press ... The Online Network, nobody!

Just do a Beyonce and upload 17 brand new episodes to Hulu Plus without telling a single soul.

Their lack of promotion was a very big problem. It was there in the very beginning but man did it slack off nearly completely. For weeks I saw that damn Hulu commercial on like every channel and there were billboards, and magazine photo shoots, and then ..... ?

IDK. I'm somewhat over all of this even though I want to see the shows back, and I really can't go through another "this person is signed" ... "this month we're taping" .... etc.

I feel like it's over this time, but at the same time, who knows? Stranger things have happened. Last time when it failed, I sort of felt we'd see the shows again, but now, I really don't know. I think it's obvious ABC wants them back and PP would be once again rushing against the grain to get something going.

I almost can't even believe I'm talking about all of this. Surreal this just won't go away. LOL.

    • If NBC could have for seen the ratings of Lovers & Friends (the replacement for Somerset).. they would have for sure kept Somerset on the air longer. https://jason47.com/days/ratings1976.html  (ratings for Somerset in the final year) https://jason47.com/days/ratings1977.html (ratings for Lovers & Friends short run...getting as low as a 2 rating).

    • I liked them, too, and was really disappointed it never went anywhere. The whole art theft story was ridiculous, but they had a nice chemistry. Certainly nicer than Alan with Christine. With her, he looked like the funny uncle. The worst thing they did to Bolger, IMO, was having Phillip write that DREADFUL novel and dramatizing it while he wrote it. GAG, that has to be in the running for one of their worst storylines that didn't involve wacky things like clones or time travel. Soaps rarely do school storylines, or don't do them for very long. Not the case so much in the early days of soaps, but after GH took off in the late 70s other soaps took their lead and would catapult teens/young adults into adult stories right away. That's one reason Phillip and Mindy ended up with so many ex-spouses--they started getting married really young. They shipped Dina and Cameron off really fast after high school and stuck Alan Michael in a marriage storyline with Harley. Did he EVER go to college? I don't think so. It may also partly explain why Quint and Annabelle had to go, beyond TPTB wanting to do a cast sweep. Teaching is not a profession that plays well on a soap. Quint definitely had to quit being Indiana Jones, because that wore thin really fast, but they didn't do him favors by making him a professor. If they wanted to keep him, they should have done what they did with Amanda (who was in another dead-end soap job, concert pianist)--have him work at Spaulding as one of the major stockholders.
    • Judith McConnell (Augusta) and Denise Alexander (Lesley) were great screen partners on GH.  They got into some stellar arguments in character in the medicine room.
    • He also commented that Brad knows that fans are sick of the constant fake deaths on this show: Finn, Sheila, etc and that it's hard to take this seriously if it's another fake death

    • I just don't think Brad Bell has it in him to actually kill off Liam. He should have killed off Eric when he had the chance. I know John McCook is an original cast member, but Eric is even more useless than Liam. Eric should have died and then it would be revealed that he died without a valid will, so Donna, as his wife, inherits everything, including his shares in Forrester Creations.
    • I think we all will, isn't that how soaps work? lol
    • ^^ I'll believe it when it actually happens.
