Agree to all three, especially the latter. With all the Malibu Barbies on the show, it is refreshing to see a normal young girl, and see her learning about people.

OK, so I agree with Liam when he told Hope that Quinn and Wyatt were bad for them. Q and W are obsessive sociopaths who live for controlling people. However, Liam is wrong for coercing Hope into dumping this business deal (and two people's livelihoods) and Hope is really wrong for going along with this! As Clarence said, you cannot mess with the money! I wish Hope had the braincells to tell him that this is Eric's decision, not her's, and if he has a problem with those two at FC, he needs to bring it up with Peepaw.

I did have to laugh when Hope went to see Wyatt and he had his place all decked out Bollywood styles with curry served and everything. Try-Hard's about to get his pride deflated.

When I watched, I was looking for an answer to Liam, who disgusts me to no end. Wyatt is not that answer. He is creepy and unappealing. There is no one to root for in this wretched triangle. It was the same when Steffy was present. There was not one person to root for. BB's triangles are the absolute worst. It's bad enough the characters fall in and out of love during commercial breaks, but then we are supposed to buy a 3rd person in the mix? GMAFB!

They really are (although I am sort of looking forward to Ridge getting mixed up with Bill, Brooke and Katie... famous last words) and the only person I am rooting for is Hope to rid herself of both these two parasites. In the trailer for today's episodes, they have Liam holding a bottle of beer, bragging to somebody about "I told Hope she has to break ties with Quinn Artisan" before cutting to Psycho Eyes whining "I won't let this happen! We will NEVER be finished!" I'm sure that's what every young woman longs to hear -- some guy who's obsessed with her refusing to take 'No' for an answer.

What I love about B&B is that one week it seems that the path is going one way (Hope independent woman, flirting and kissing, Wyatt), next week (caving in to Liam's insecurities and dumping Wyatt), all for the next big twist (isn't someone else coming back with Ridge)? That will set us a new course again.

Remember, it was about 3 years ago when B&B was stuck in a pattern of recycling "old" folks and completely unable to gain traction for any younger characters - but they finally found magic with SC joining and JMW really taking off. KM has certainly evolved as well. I really thought the show was going to slump with JMW gone, but here's comes Wyatt out of nowhere and it added a new dimension to the show.

Hopefully these romance novels will not involve the horse porn Bill keeps sending to Brooke!

Damn, I thought Hope was going to consummate her relationship with Wyatt. And then "Yes, I love you... but I love your brother more." Ouch.

Entertaining episode yesterday. Even with the horse noises.

When I was a kid, there was a girl in my class at school who looooooved Black Beauty and was obsessed with horses. She would write horsey porn fiction. But we were in an all-girls religious school and it was in England, so I can forgive. What's Bill's excuse?

Dead.

DEAD.

I am really enjoying Eric and Quinn and they're developing it slower than I thought they would.

Despite myself, I enjoyed the scene were Hope breaks things off with Wyatt and he refuses to accept it. The whole scene was full of the threat of Wyatt exploding, which made it interesting.

Bill neighing at Brooke was both disgusting & hilarious. I wonder if she will give into him right in time for

Wow, the scenes between Wyatt & Hope actually worked. And when she said she loved him but she loves his brother more... Epic!

You noticed that, did you? I thought it was just me taking against the two Artisans. She is obviously cuckoo for cocoa puffs. But yes, what I thought was just an acting choice by Darin Brooks is now turning into a real undercurrent of menace and... hysteria.

A grown lady? Yikes.

Here is more info about it: http://daytimeconfidential.zap2it.com/2013/12/11/pan-macmillan-australia-to-release-the-bold-and-the-beautiful-themed-novels

And here's the cover. The background looks like the opening credits catwalk, only upside down (!):

No stallions in sight (yet) but I gotta say I was always somewhat intrigued by the dynamic between Bill and Taylor. LOL, my favourite ever scene was Bill and Steffy getting down to business in her childhood bedroom and Taylor banging on the door "Steffy! Whatcha doing in there?! Why you need the door locked?"

) Anyways... I did really feel disgusted by Eurovision this year and I doubt I'll watch this horrific musical torture in the future. My ears and my psyche will not survive.
    • Regarding the mobster storyline: The scripts, the cardroom set, and the writing for Joey -- are all terrible. They seem to be writing a realistic depiction of compulsive gambling as an addiction, showing that it pops into his head all the time -- it has become hardwired into his brain.  The APA (American Psychological Association) describes compulsive gambling as having a similar effect on the physical brain as drug and alcohol addiction. https://www.apa.org/monitor/2023/07/how-gambling-affects-the-brain I think Jason Graham (Doug) is doing an adequate job playing Doug as a compulsive gambler, with the thoughts/urges coming into his head all the time, and being unable to stop. However, the cardroom set is awful and the mobster storyline is a bad cliché, so it's all so uninteresting to watch. I think Mr. Graham is doing the best he can with the crap they gave him to work with. If anyone reading or watching has a gambling issue, check out Gamblers Anonymous.  They have many types of meetings -- in-person, online, video, audio, etc.  They also have resources for friends/family of compulsive gamblers.
    • Today was painful (especially for Philip).  I still feel for Xander. He was clear he was happy sharing and working with Philip. It's just one more betrayal from someone he loved. Going back to last year when he found out about Victor and Fiona, then Alex and Philip. He forgave and tried. Then Philip went behind his back again. He's been walking on the edge for weeks. This is a man who was abused, neglected and has never had any therapy for his horrific past. He has zero coping skills because he's never learned them. I hate this but I refuse to hate Xander
    • Lucy Coe wasn't even this big of a whore.
    • Kate being the one that Alex called was a nice surprise. The cut to her looking all sheek made me instantly get excited for her to get back into business mode. And the Jack reference from when she first came to town (on-screen) was inserted naturally which is always welcome. When they were talking about how much sex sells, I almost got the impression they were sizing each other up in a May/December type of way.  All the Philip stuff was gruesome. I'm happy the show isn't shying away from Xander's ugliness. I love them both, and it just makes me intrigued for the aftermath for it all to be taken seriously. I cheered when Philip spat out at that Sarah knew the truth. I'm on tenterhooks for their eventual confrontation. I was surprised that Kate wasn't a little vicious towards Sarah for Xander's obvious behavior, but maybe that's still to come. How wonderfully entangled is it that both Philip and Shawn/Steve stopped each other from getting the drug. Both equally at fault. Who/what will ultimately save Bo? And with everything going on, is a Salem where it's looking likely that EJ is about to own the hospital imminent?
    • Oddly.. Chase and Steve seem to have both vanished from the canvas in December so the Estelle return loses impact when two of her kids stop appearing shortly after her return (and I assume TR leaves in early 1986 as well). The Steve recast doesn't work... but it's odd that he has a long scene with Teri with Cagney looking jealous.. when the majority of his time on the show previously was a relationship and engagement to Stephanie (who he barely has a scene with in the episodes I see). Your idea for Wendy/Bela/Stephanie sounds just like what Ryan's Hope did with Michael/Kim/Rae... and considering Louise Shaffer was playing Rae and Stephanie.. it would have been a lousy redux of a superior story on another soap (that had months of build-up) I think Quinn becoming assistant to Stephanie was Mayer/Braxton... but not 100 % sure. I don't know if Mayer/Braxton was setting up Sarah as a bad girl disguised as a good girl.. but the actress (Joyner) was playing the scenes in that manner.. and Tomlin wisely tapped into that when he took over.
    • She’s such a caricature - which is a shame because I think the actress is capable of so much more.   I don’t know why Cady often feels like she has overcompensated in her performances. She already proved she can play much more than just Dixie Cooley during her first stint at ATWT (her best acting era). Her performances in various roles since then have been quite strange at times.
    • It feels like the show suddenly woke up today and remembered it was Sweeps month. Lots of action and forward momentum, including a delicious Nina/Carly fight.
