Lol. I've always been interested in graphic design and posters and the like. This opening isn't very interesting visually but since less characters are featured now, the politics or who is "worthy" enough to be featured intrigues me. Plus, it's the only way we get promo shots of actors anymore.

This only works for me if there was an interest in The Qs, but there isn't. And since when have Craptini cared if something didn't work for the audience? Crappy don't back down. The audience pushes and they push back harder. They have no use for The Qs, so Craptini appear to have decided to move FrankenTodd to another family. He could very well work as part of The Qs with AJ as an adversary, but I guess AJ would have to be onscreen for that to happen.

Oh, and who is going to break the news to that heinous bitch, Tracy? FrankenTodd's shares got her ELQ. Betcha Crappy haven't even thought this far in advance.

Ok, that makes sense. Thanks for taking the time to explain :)

There were murmurings about Heather, Scott and Franco going back to early last year when this team took over. I didn't know it would take this shape, but people were always hinting around something. At that time I had heard Scott was somehow going to be in cahoots with Heather, but I had no idea how. Then they pushed Kin Shriner's return back over and over again.

I can understand having Heather involved in a scheme against the Quartermaines again, but what is the weight of this today? Scott and Heather are dragged down by the Franco character, and Franco is supposed to take on more import for us somehow? Moving him from Jason's brother to Scott and Heather's kid - with him alive and well both choices are sheer pandering, trying to make the audience invest in "the new Franco," but neither work. Making Franco a Baldwin - it's just lame, even lamer than bringing him back and trying to make him into a viable leading man taking A.J.'s place among the Qs. It's begun to remind me of the many different visions they had for Bill Eckert as they struggled to salvage that experiment. He's a sailor! He's a blue-collar man! He's a con man! He's the Great Gatsby!

    • I assume in name only?  One Stormy Night wasn't exactly steamy.  If it's a literal throwback then Stephanie's writing about sexy times her own Uncle was having lol. Since I am going to surmise it's just a throwback to the name, Night Sins and Winter Heat both sound sexier.  Just saying.  I swear Jamey (and Ron) just google things and land on the first thing they like and decide it's a good throwback to history without watching it.
    • I usually don't want Tide placement in the middle of an intense sad scene, but this is an interesting point

    • Thanks!   Was anyone watching during this time? Wondering how Peggy’s rape played out onscreen. It just seems cruel to subject the Brooks family to this trauma a 2nd time.   Feels like the writers have already given up on the character of Jennifer, even though she sticks around another year-plus. She should be a passionate and fierce protective mother, but instead she seems just reactionary (and not even mentioned in this recap) This was also the case in ‘73 when Chris was raped. The writers are definitely more invested Stuart as the Brooks parent.
    • BTG got another SNL reference at 00:50  CONTEXT (so it isn't misconstrued) in this joke swap segment, Michael Che frequently makes his white cohost Colin Jost read racist jokes written by Che.

    • It's obvious that Israel's presence is a major divisive issue, and this is something that the EBU needs to deal with. According to the now published results Israel got 13 out of a possible 19 max points in the semi-final, and while their song isn't bad there's no way they would get those numbers without some kind of manipulation/political voting. They are clearly using this contest as a way of improving their somewhat tarnished reputation. I know that some people are comparing this to the massive sympathy votes that Ukraine gets and which propelled them to victory in 2022, but I feel that that was a more genuine show of support than this concerted effort from Israel to influence the televoting. I even had an ad on Youtube from Israel in Swedish(!) asking for votes! It might not be against any rules, but it feels a bit icky nonetheless.
    • Yeah, as you wrote, an Israeli win would have been a political disaster. Congratulations to Austria. 0 points from the televoting to Switzerland was a disgrace. Other than that, I really enjoyed the show ... but I'm also glad that Eurovision season is over

    • Hahaha Sorry if I was too negative, I just started typing and typing once I got going hahaha
    • @dc11786 Thanks for taking time to answer my various questions, along with giving your thoughts on the different writing teams. I wonder why they didn't just have Ryder and TR leave together if Jane was going anyway. The discussions over the last few pages have made me more interested in watching these episodes than I have been over the years - without the extra details and analyses provided, these years can be difficult to decipher (not helped by how often Jo seems like a side character).
