DAYS: October Discussion Thread

Loved Anne's scene with Teresa. For the first time I saw a bit of vulnerability to her. I mean she was still plotting and scheming but I think MSL played that scene very well as you could see more in Anne's eyes and mannerisms like her stroking Teresa's hair.

F--k you Maggie!

Jennifer needs to STFU. She broke up with Daniel like 100 times. Why does he owe her any explanation if he's with Teresa? Why was she yelling all their private business in the middle of the nurses floor? How unprofessional. LMAO at Anne loving it in the background.

Is hair looks like sh-t. The complete opposite of sexy

Rafe still cant walk. He was only in a coma for like a month. I cant believe one month of sleeping could do that much damage that months after the fact, he's still struggling to learn to walk again. Is that even how that works in real life. I would think he'd have had to be in a coma for a much longer period of time to have that much effect on his muscles

Why was Caroline being so shady towards Kate? The only thing I can think of is Sami, but Kate hasn't gone after or done anything to her in quite some time and she definitely had nothing to do with why she isn't with Rafe, which is what seemed to bother Caroline today

WTH are they doing with Nick? Berris is being wasted here. I could see him on GH as a recast Dillon.

DEAD at the grandmother. LMAO.

I agree about Berris. Totally wasted. He'll probably bolt like they all do. It's DAYS fault they lose so many younger actors by either not using them or giving them awful storylines. No wonder they all want to bolt.

SO sick of seeing Maggie. Just awful. ALl she does is snivel over Daniel. I guess that's what she gets for wanting to be related to Melanie.

I'm watching yesterday's show right now. If they have Eric as forgiveness/absolution for being raped I am really going to be pissed. I mean please. He should have told the other priest that he may have been the victim of a crime, but he doesn't have a full memory of the events yet. I hate it that all these soaps are so cagey with rape time and again.

!@#$%^&*] no. I was downing Screwdrivers. Really though, Days isn't that bad. If only they would stop with the constant Dannifer praising. Considering that they are on a shoe string budget the show isn't that bad.

People are constantly complaining about how big the cast of GH is, but I sure wish Days had just a few more characters. Some of the things that piss people off about Days would be less noticeable if they had another couple of characters in the rotation.

DAYS is like your drug addict cousin. You grew up together. You saw what a prodigy he was. Then he goes and gets addicted to drugs. And every few years, he has a few shining weeks/months of sobriety and you want to believe so bad that your cousin is going to be OK and off the drugs for good this time. You know the other shoe is going to drop but you just don't want it to. This time is going to be different, you hope. But deep down, you know it won't be.

I have no sentimental connection to DOOL, I took it up this year because of wonky CBS/ABC reception. But I think it's more entertaining (and even) than large chunks of AMC and OLTL in their final ABC years. It feels more focused, far less messy. It's not trying too hard to be clever like OLTL, and it's got a better sense of itself than AMC. The storylines are fun to follow and the show is well-cast. Whereas AMC and OLTL had groan-worthy bad acting coming from young contract players, on DOOL, you only really get that from under-fives and day players, which is oddly endearing in this case. I just think the show is a hoot, many thanks to ED's Kristen. To be fair, I may be like those newbie OLTL fans who gushed over the Ford brothers, Aubrey, and Cutter era, while I rolled my eyes and waxed poetic about 1994.

Yes! And it's the drug addicted cousin who can be entertaining when you need it, even when that cousin is a mess, it's familiar, it's comfortable.

And not for nothing, but there are a few actors (ED and LK for me) who never, ever, fail to keep my interest. I just love watching them.

Yes, I'm a little worried about the show when ED leaves. Still, Days is doing some things right. They've done a good job of introducing Rafe's therapist. Her name escapes my mind right now, but they haven't featured her too often. We've had little peeks into her character, but they are doing it nice and slow.

Does anyone know if Will is coming back from Cali with a new face? I guess this trip will as good a way as any to make the transition.

Too true. I just don't know why DAYS is squandering his talent. Though I also don't know why they wasted/are wasting Nathan Hapka, Shelly Henning, Casey Deidrick, Kate Mansi, Freddie Smith, etc. They're not all at the same level, but I think they're as a group much better than any other young group on any other soap the past five years. Yet they get bad (or just plain dull) storylines and DAYS lets them slip away.
