First, I found it odd that they credited Eileen Hearly (SP) at the end.

Also, am I the only one who loves the music cues?? Especially in the second episode. This may be an unpopular opinion but I listened to the 1974 background music on my phone during my bus/train ride home and I think the new AMC music score is just as impactful or it has the potential. Maybe they can create "Character Themes".

This is another reason I'm not jonesing for a Tad return. I like David and Jesse's rivalry especially now that Dixie has stopped acting like a scared rabbit where David's concerned. Tad would screw that all up. The show has gotten away from Hayward as black hat and Martins as white hats. Everybody in this mix is flawed and a little gray and that's how I prefer it.

As for Anders mystery woman, I wouldn't be surprised if she turns out to be tied to the case Tad is working on.

Enjoyed both episodes but again it seemed that material had been cut (unless I missed something). I found it jarring to see Zack and Lea outside Jane's Addiction and seeing Zack insisting on escorting her home. Why would a tough FBI agent need an escort (aside from the fact that Zack can be sexist)? It makes me wonder if there had been an incident that got cut.

I still think the mystery woman is connected to Celia. I think she could possibly be Celia's mother. That creepy guy in her nightmares possibly murdered her and Celia witnessed it. Anders might be Celia's father and after the mother's death, he kind of withdrew and couldn't handle the responsibility of being a father bc she reminded him too much of the love he lost. He may or may not be her guardian, choosing to care for her from a distance. OR the guardian can be a relative of the mother. Either way I think there's some connection between Anders, Celia and this mystery woman

Haven't had time to watch it all-- and probably a little bit in mourning b/c Monday has been my OLTL day & I've been doing Wednesday for AMC but for some reason I watched the Dr. Anders scenes and the finale previews. He's certainly looking quite the dreamier doctor this ep. I've gradually warmed to him more each week but now I'm officially dying to know who the girl is in the phone. For some reason, I'm wondering if this could somehow tie into Celia? Probably not but its always good when they have you guessing. I

I continue to be blown away by how fabulous Cady Mcclain looks. I discovered the show during one of her more unfortunate hairstyles & they were always trying to make her seem so salt of the earth so Dixie being this goddess type now is kind of crazy to me. Good for her though- looking even better than she did almost 20 years ago.

All these weeks I sadly thought the AMC thread was much much more alive than the OLTL one- and while that may be partly true, I'm realizing a lot of it was just Linda & Race Wars.

For me this was one of the weakest (if not the weakest) episodes of the season. Sure enough it was a Chip Hayes ep. I was so looking forward to Opal & Colby teaming up to sabotage the date but the writing fell completely flat. I can see why back during the ABC days Bettina Bradbury got to the point where she had enough of CH's laziness and complained to McTavish about his breakdowns.

JLP's acting is soooooooooooooooooo annoying. I guess I'm one of the only ones that hasn't warmed up to her since her short stint on the backburner. Nobody has grated on my nerves like this since Sabine Singh.

Was that a paid product placement for Dramamine? The camera sure zoomed in on Opal taking the box out of her bag, but it wasn't a real Dramamine box. It didn't even say Dramamine on it.

I loved how they listed Eileen Herlie in the credits in the way they would a special guest star. They listed everyone else first (character name on top, actor name on the bottom) and then at the very end

and

EILEEN HERLIE

as Myrtle Fargate

I hate that it looks like this season, which has been so impressive overall, is going to end with a whimper. They should have maybe ended with the gala episodes and Adam's "In my study, NOW" and just scrapped the episodes that followed (a waste of money, I know) or moved them to the beginning of season 2. That would have been a somewhat decent season finale (especially had they not spoiled DC's return in the MORE episode the week before).

In fact I wonder if OLTL did have more episodes done but they ended with the episode they did because it was the best for a season finale.

Agree, Le Clerc- ep 58 was really not on par with most of the season.

We all know Colby & Opal could cook up something more impressive than some silly skunk scheme.

I was warming to Celia when they played up the mystery and the Colby rivalry but 5 steps back now that they turned back on the Pete/Celia schmoopiness that made me lukewarm on the show for the first few weeks.

I really wanted to like AJ & Heather but its becoming clear they won't be developed much beyond Miranda reacting to them so I'm not investing. Not feeling mopey Miranda either- this worked much better for me when AJ seemed to be pining for her and she was either oblivious or non-committal. She's cute with Zach and I like Denyse Tontz so I'm hoping to get back to loving her in S2.

I actually think how Sal Stowers does with the more run of the mill stuff versus the big sex trafficking showcase may be a bigger test of her abilities. I was not impressed today.

Who was that guy that was being all menacing with Jesse? It felt like we should know him- either I'm forgetting or they cut something.

So yeah really didn't feel this one very much- entirely possible I'm harsh b/c I'm missing my beloved OLTL but I really do think this one felt kind of ho hum.
