I just saw the Duke and Ava scenes and I don't get what people were raving about.

I loved them. They were very theatrical (something MW and IB excel at) and the whole thing came off as a melodramatic soap scene from some gothic show from 1960. It was like Dark Shadows before there were vampires. The weird camera angle was good too. And then when you stick that on a show where Roger Howarth ruins every episode with his undramatic shtick and half the cast tries to be realistic to the point you fall asleep, Ian Buchanan grabbing Maura West to make ominous threats comes off like a Dynasty season finale by comparison.

Anyway, loved seeing Sean Donnely's face, and Emma Samms looks great I thought. She posted this picture on twitter. She looks good, he looks better and look at the photo on the left (slight spoiler but I forgot how to make the spoiler thing)

I think ES looks okay. The huge false lashes, weird eyebrows, and severe hairstyle didn't make her look younger, but I blame that on hair and makeup more than her. Those eyelashes were ridiculously long and her hair would have looked much better down instead of in that odd bun on the top of her head. She is still quite pretty, although she does look her age.

I don't think Samms looks so great. I'm hoping she's about 65 because, with close ups, that is the way she looks and those hideous eyebrows don't help! Leslie simply looks like a post op tranny! It doesn't help that she walks like a linebacker!

I do appreciate that Ron knows everyone gets the Julian connection, and isn't milking it further as I thought he would, but.... I had more than a few sexual encounters as a teen--and even if I didn't remember their names, I did recognize them (and yes, once it was a decade later...)

I agree. MW is a welcome addition on a show loaded with mumblers, whisperers and drones. I think they keep putting her in more scenes with more people because she elevates her screen partners. Morgan is a good example.

I've been thinking the same thing- there should be some mention that Michael is glomming onto this Kiki thing because he misses his "girlfriend" who he lovvvvvvvved so much and left so abruptly. Don't even need to mention the resemblance.

But I don't why we expect these sensible things. They probably think it will be too confusing.

Hey! Haven't posted in awhile because GH does not hold my interest right now! I was really excited when they announced KSu had been let go, but the lead up to her exit has been lame. I am also kinda annoyed that there was so much build up and airtime spent on her DID and romance with Sonny only to be let go months later-not that I like her or anything, but what a massive waste of time for the viewer. I am not looking forward to Sonny with Olivia either, but hopefully he will be given some sort of story. I feel like he has been stuck in limbo with Kate for so long with no real purpose.

On to today's show,

1. the dress Morgan bought Kiki is cheap and tacky looking (I guess it fits the character, but ewww)

2. Michael should probably stay away from having drinks with women his dad used to date/impregnated/married-just sayin'

3. I want to love Quiz and I think they have a nice amount of chemistry, but something is just missing for me

4. This has probably been discussed, but bears repeating. Why would the editor of a fashion magazine need to prove her worth by breaking a story in the newspaper? Connie isn't a reporter and does PC really give a !@#$%^&*] about Kiki's paternity?
