Was this the first male/male rape on a soap opera?

Not sure about on a American one, but in the UK Hollyoaks had a big storyline with Luke being raped.

Family Affairs had 1 aswell but the rape happened before the character joined.

I'll admit, I'm happy to see Lucy and Kevin (although the writing for Lucy stinks), and it was nice to have a few others like Audrey, Bobbie, Lesley back, but this whole idea of how wonderful and special the show is now, oh it's mob-free, and so on, is a joke. Oh it's less about Sonny - it was already less about Sonny in Guza's last days. The main difference is no Jason, which is fine by me, but I wish that people who are just happy because Jason is gone would say that and not act like the show is a masterpiece.

I'm glad Jason is gone and I'm glad some of the vets are back. I've never expected this show to be a masterpiece. I like it better than I used to under Guza and especially GW. At least, I did before this latest travesty.

The last time I expected any soap to be a masterpiece was somewhere in 1992, so I try to keep my expectations low. But I keep hearing that Ron is the new Doug Marland. That's what gets me. There are people who go LOLOLOL THIS IS SO AWFUL AND TERRIBLE AND I LOVE IT! I understand that. These people are like Oscar - they love trash. It's "soapy goodness." But comparing that attention whore to the likes of Doug Marland makes me queasy. I wouldn't even compare this hack to Leah Laiman at this point.

This turn of events is a 3fer:

1. FRon get to keep "Todd Manning" because GH was in dire need of this character, and what better way to accomplish that than to make him the same version of himself, a comical slug?!

2. Making him Franco/Todd 2.0 and "redeeming" him gets him on our screens 9 days a week.

3. And most important, it gives PP the finger! We got Roger, we get to bring him back as the twin who's life was stolen and we get to feature him all day every day.
