Most of the soliloquy has the camera on Carly, or a wide shot of A.J. lying there without his face clearly seen. As long as you don't show the close-ups of Billy Warlock you're fine.

I loved Stefan and Bobbie. It was genius to put Luke's sister with a Cassadine and I hated how they ended them to put him with that awful Katherine

Most of the clips shown where from episodes shown during the SoapNet marathon. I am pretty sure the blurred out in the corner is the SoapNet 50th Anniversary countdown tag in the corner not LoriJo SMALL little tag. I would also think that this was edited and finished before the marathon aired and the clips provided were already tagged for use during the marathon.

very interesting point

It really is (and I know that episode was Culliton or rather the transition team, but I suspect Mulcahey, etc. had a lot to do with those scenes).

No surprise, looking at the credits now, and the script was written by Elizabeth Korte, who wrote heavily for Carly back then and was one of the writers that was heavily involved in her creation.

Korte is the last remaining member with significant GH history still on the writing team.

I'm glad Korte is still there, but I remember a lot of accusations that her work had turned sour like Guza's in the last decade. A lot of accusations of her and those other Guza lifers totally building up the mob quartet of Sonny, Carly, Jason and Courtney/Sam to the expense of all others. That said, at this point I think she needs to be there.

Finally got around to watching Friday's episode. I loved everything about the Nurse's Ball performances. Yeah the opening number was cheesy but it worked. Maks/Sam were fine. It was just some dancing, people, nothing more nothing less. What was the big deal? Spinelli/Ellie was cute and fun. Even if I'm not the biggest Spinelli fan.

Oy to Mac and that dummy. LOL. Jack Wagner's "All I Need" was fantastic. I can't believe how much I enjoyed it. And all the couples looking at each other and Kristina once again just nailing it as Felicia? I really have grown to appreciate her so much more, through the last few months and the Felicia of the old days. She's great.

I had to roll my eyes at the red carpet. Just. No. Ellie a 'local celebrity'? PLEASE lol. I give them credit for trying to have fun with it but it wasn't necessary.

I'm gonna admit I loved Brenda throwing the roll at Carly's head and their little fight. Robin would have been laughing, relax folks. Brenda isn't dishonoring Robin. Childish and not necessary on a night like this, yes, but it wasn't a big deal. I wish that Sonny/Brenda scene had aired. Same for Bobbie/Lucy, there were at least a few scenes in the beginning that could have been nixed for those.

Monday's episode looks fun as well. Love the idea of Lucy getting, of course, waylaid and locked up and then likely in her underwear. Guess it's

Richard Simmons and they have another silly fight and throw things at each other

Actually, the worse thing that Carly ever did was steal Michael from A.J. Drugging A.J. would be second on the list though. I don't get what difference it makes that the bitch cried about it. She was always f'ing crying when she did not get her way or got caught or did something shitty. Too bad we did not play drinking games back then because none of us would have gone to work for a month every time she shed a fake tear. Carly's selfishness was the reason that she drugged A.J. Like a fool, he felt sorry for her because no one in P.C. would spit on her if she was on fire. He was turning his life around and got sober, but understood what it was like to be an outcast. No one in his family believed that him and they turned on him.

Since this is a soap, no doubt A.J. and Carly will be paired romantically one day, but if RC had a lick of sense, he would let A.J. find out about Michael shooting Kate and getting raped in prison. This would make A.J. determined to get his revenge on Carly and to destroy her life. He would drug her make her seem like a negligent mother so she would lose custody of Jocelyn and worse if possible. It would be good drama. SK was always good at playing that hard side of A.J. For years, Carly, Sonny, and Jason have gotten away with their sins and crimes and GH has been the worse for it. Jason is gone, but I would love for Carly and Sonny to get some form of payback.

Yep, this is what I wanted to see some serious drama going down with his return instead of slapping Carly on the bum and pickle relish! This is a storyline dying on the vine here just waiting to be told, it basically writes itself.

re: Korte is the last remaining member with significant GH history still on the writing team.

She's very Guzaesque for me and I read that she serves/served as writer of continuity (not sure) so unless I have forgotten what they do...she hasn't done that bang up of a job because just last week...Patrick dialoged about Sabrina helping him through Robins' death putting him back together (piece by piece) when it was Epip, Elizabeth, Maxie, LuLu who stood by him...By the time Sabrina came to town in Fall of 2012 he was back at work and ready to date. His big crisis was well over.

Yeah, yeah, and Alan tried to kill Monica and Monica whored it up with Rick and Jeff, passed off A.J. as Rick's to shack up with him, then helped Sean Donely bankrupt the family and put Alan's mother out on the street. It's all fair in love and war to me on a soap opera until someone gets shot in the head while giving birth or re-rapes their rape victim.

Also, A.J. could see Liz and Nikolas together and decide that his revenge on Carly comes first. Leaving A.J. and Liz's feelings for each other unresolved with lots of longing and lingering looks. They could have a one night that results with the ever fertile Elizabeth getting pregnant. It would be the first offspring of hers that could have an important long term impact..

GH wanted Stamos to come on and just play drums for Frisco at the Ball. Stamos refused because he wanted a bit more of a storyline than that token appearance, which I agree with. I'm thinking he may show up anyway soon, but who knows.

That reminds me, WEHT Miranda? Man, she was boring.

After J&B broke up and Brenda got back with Sonny she just quietly left town, realizing Jax didn't want her. She was literally never mentioned again in regards to what she is/was doing. She is only brought up (and hasn't been for years) if Jax or Brenda want to bitch about her and the non-wedding.

At 9 p.m. ABC's 20/20: GENERAL HOSPITAL - THE REAL SOAP DISH scored 2.857 million total viewers in the overnights with an adults 18-49 rating of 0.6. This was enough to beat NBC's SMASH on its new night at time. The musical soap was watched by 1.877 million viewers with an adults 18-49 rating of 0.5.

Both shows may rise once DVR numbers are added in, although SMASH has not received the same type of bump shows like NASHVILLE or DALLAS have seen this season once +3 and +7 days of DVR viewership has been added in.

I refuse to believe a 15 year old girl would write that dated song the used to open the Nurse's Ball (of course a 15 year old girl didn't actually write it but you know what I mean).

I didn't think it was dated, but it did seem kind of simplistic. Just lots of repeating about nurses and welcoming. I bought it, especially since Molly didn't think it was that good and was having problems drafting it. It was good writing that it seemed mediocre given that it was a last minute replacement, if that makes sense. Similarly, we should have seen Sam having to look over a time or two at Anton to make sure she was getting the steps right; that would have matched with her lack of preparation.
